This should be interesting….

French court approves 75 percent company tax on high salaries

29DEC2013

Paris (AFP)

France's top court on Sunday approved a proposal for companies to pay 75 percent tax on annual salaries exceeding one million euros in line with President Francois Hollande's drive to limit executive pay at a time of economic hardship.

The Constitutional Council had earlier in the year thrown out one of Hollande's key campaign pledges to impose a 75 percent tax on individuals earning more than one million euros…

Another Fist Fight with the Tea Party….

I still try to save these people from electing Hillary but it ain’t working…read the whole article on the jump…

This guy is a riot....

His message to Republican candidates….Just lie to your voters!!!!!

here’s my response:

Yes, Republican candidates once you're elected then surprise them with your stand on the issues. Maybe if McCain would have done that he would be president because it worked so well for Newt!
I read this article twice and I wonder if he's a lefty plant?

Here's the problem with the Republicans and their voters.....we heard your message....drop dead!
Cut everything except rich farmers, the Pentagon and the Wall Street gang's haul, Make sure our rich buddies keep their millions as we rob the voter's home equity, VA benefits and destroy Social Security because it keeps old people like me, with guns, off the street...

Oh yes, and allow bigots like Robertson to hide behind Jesus and hurt their employers bottom line. (you did hear Jesus say that he hates gays, right? No? then why give this guy a pass...)

Calling your customer's names is idiotic...Not that Republicans believe in good business practices any more as they shovel billions to the mega rich corporations.

And make sure you stall the avalanche of millions of voters pouring into the Democrat party by building a police state on our borders alienating people who share most of your conservative beliefs....

I know I know all these Republican stands have worked so well in 2008 and 2012 against a man believed to be an illegal citizen, Marxist, And Muslim, that the Republicans can't lose in 2016 with this new plan.....Whine about Obama care!

Which is, according to this guy, as long as we quit telling the voters the Conservative  stand on the issues until after the elections we can't lose!

Merry Christmas Patti My Love…..

Our 43rd.

And Merry Christmas to my beloved sister Deb, also no longer with us……our 62nd…..

And to all our babies, grand babies, and relatives,  and friends!…

Monday, December 23, 2013

Well, the Republicans declared war on the geezers…..

You work your ass off for your country and the Republicans steal your VA check. Pretty soon they come after my Social Security check. Who’s next?

I’m done with them. The Dems are bad enough but ripping off the old guys and giving the money to Wall Street is not high on my agenda….Or are you one of silly people who believe they will apply it to the deficit?

And yes, I’m not leaving out the Dems. I’m not sure if Hilary will do any better but hard to believe she will be any worse… But, the hits to the retirees will be reinstated insuring reelection of the left as they know the government has unlimited funds. And I believe the Republicans, because of gerrymandering their districts, will keep the House but they probably screwed themselves out control of the Senate.

And you can forget the presidency..

I warned anybody who would listen that budget cutting your constituencies is political suicide just  so you can balance a budget that can’t be balanced without creating millions of new jobs…. Meaning doing so  is futile….

Not counting giving millionaires huge tax breaks and credits, spending a trillion dollars on fat cat farmers and generals while  taking money from the little guy means you ain’t no American!!!! You’re a fascist!!!

And you will go the way of the Whigs….

(isn’t it funny how we can always find the money to handout to the gangsters who own our government but some poor bastard who gave 20 years or so, an arm, leg, or his mind to make it possible gets the shaft?  Tell me just what part of fascist don’t you understand?)

You Can’t make this Stuff Up…

MIAMI (Reuters) - A Florida man walked into a convenience store with a live alligator and tried to trade it for a 12-pack of beer, according to wildlife authorities who cited him with illegally capturing the animal…..

It was unclear why the man thought the clerk at the Santa Ana Market in Miami would accept the 4-foot (1.2-meter) reptile as payment, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission spokesman Jorge Pino said on Tuesday.  West Central Tribune

Isn’t clear….why would anyone be surprised?  This is America!

Also a Zimmerman painting, ( yes the only Hispanic guy to shoot a black wearing a hood pissing off the KKK) was auctioned off at 100 grand.

In the meantime, me & Muffin are bundled up down here as we got frost this morning. Temperature, at 8:45 a.m. is 37 degrees. But, it will be in the 70’s again so I’m not ready to bail until after Xmas.

Merry Xmas here means green grass and no parking as the terrible economy generates billions in sales, jobs, and hysteria. Hate to see it when  we have a good economy….

Wait, I predicted the boom a year ago and just forgot what it looked like. But, not to worry, the next bust will be a corker….LOL.

Also, my daughter, Tracy, asked me what I wanted for Xmas…..to have your mother back, of course….

What a horrible year……

My sister Debbie, George Jones, My beloved Patti, and now Ray Price?

DALLAS — Ray Price, among country music's most iconic crooners, died Monday at the age of 87 — just one day after Rolling Stone, USA Today, CMT and others prematurely buried the Texas-born singer.

The Country Music Hall of Famer was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in late 2011, and spent months in and out of the East Texas Medical Center in Tyler. But the cancer spread to his liver, lungs and intestines, and on Thursday Price returned to his Mount Pleasant home to receive hospice care. His wife, Janie, had been by his side ever since, holding his hand while the singer of "Release Me," "Crazy Arms," "For the Good Times" and other jukebox immortals began "fading rapidly," in the words of Fort Worth country-radio icon Bill Mack, who is serving as the family's spokesman.

I used to think Conservative Republicans knew better……

I get pretty much the same reaction from people pretending to be intelligent about how our government works…Here is the truth:

People will not vote to cut their paychecks or benefits so the rich can keep their millions tax free. So to all my critics:

Every dollar of government spending goes to the campaign contributors directly or indirectly. Or it doesn't make it through Congress. No politician dares piss them off or they will be PRIMARIED! The contributors have all the money.....

And when the Republicans in Congress  poll their districts their voters insist they quit threatening their paychecks......let's not forget that defense cuts are someone's benefits in every Congressman's district.

Especially Republican districts....or are you one of these people who believe that government spending goes to a black hole and Republican voters don't get any?

For slashing the government spending crowd the result is…..you are hopelessly out voted.....by Republicans!

Go Ahead and Serve Your Country….

The gang in Washington will make you pay….. Military retirees who gave their loyalty, body parts and over 20 years of service just got the shaft by the Republicans to cut spending..

They and their buddies all got to keep their tax cuts, right? What sacrifice did they make? See them on he battlefield? Or their kids?

keep voting Republican to cut the budget and the working stiff will end up living on the street…..Never again!!!!!

Your Social Security check is next. Someday you’ll need it…..After all, they create all the jobs……on Rodeo drive in Hollywood….

People thought I was full of it…..

I tell everyone the gang in Washington is after your Social Security and soon, your VA check.

Remember, these guys get an awesome retirement. Big checks and free health care…….

Screw the geezers, as they sell us down the river,  we got ours!!!!

There is a greater recognition too –in Congress and among the Joint Chiefs— that it must come to terms with personnel-related costs, which are eating up more and more of what money remains.

“Forty-four cents of every dollar we spend goes to military personnel,” said House Armed Services Committee Chairman Buck McKeon (R.-Calif.) “You look at Detroit, you look at General Motors, you look at what happens when you build up these costs, but we aren’t doing anything about it in our [defense] bill this year.”

On the retirement front, President Barack Obama’s 2014 budget opened the door for the GOP by proposing to increase what federal employees contribute to their pensions: adjusting the number upward in three increments from .8 percent of pay to 2 percent.

When this was last proposed, Congress instead decided to charge newly-hired workers even more. The administration proposal seeks to impose its earlier plan on those hired before 2013. The estimated savings are about $20 billion over the coming decade.

The Boom is On….

I said it about several  years ago that it was inevitable after a crash. Now, with unemployment dropping, gas prices leveling downward, and a new budget deal coming in, we ramp up consumer spending. I’ll keep you posted.

I also figure Hillary is a shew in but everybody calls me names. Just like when I told them Obama was unbeatable…..twice!

Here’s the Washington Times, a right wing publication admitting the boom has started :

Federal spending continues to drop and, combined with this year’s tax increases, are making a dent in the federal deficit, according to the latest numbers released Friday by the Congressional Budget Office.

Defense spending dropped by $10 billion in October and November, and other basic government activities outside of Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid dropped by $13 billion, helping fuel the better fiscal picture.

Combined with an improving economy, which is boosting wages, and with the tax increases that President Obama and Congress agreed to at the beginning of the year, the federal deficit was down $61 billion, or more than 20 percent in the first two months of fiscal 2014, which started Oct. 1.

The numbers are more good news for the federal budget, which ended fiscal 2013 with the first sub-$1 trillion deficit since President Obama took office.

The drop in government spending is small as unemployment payments dry up  and the Fed is still quantitive easing 85 billion or so into the banks…

My Comment on the Washington Post Article….

Pricing the unskilled workers out of their job….

The left's goal is 15 bucks an hour which is a figure we read on their blogs. I know college graduates who are making 12 bucks an hour. That means raising the minimum wage takes away the incentive to hire  your semi-literate teenager who must stay unemployed as I'll choose a more mature worker who has been trained to be neat, on time, efficient and loyal.

By the way, I think, on the whole, rewarding middle class teenagers, who make up the bulk of minimum wage, is self defeating. Who will need to do that in this economy when millions of unemployed adults will step up?

So, the ultimate question is do we hire a functionally illiterate child, let alone a black person and train them or let the government take care of them and get someone suited for employment? (You don't think the dependency class fell out of the sky and bit us in the *ss do you?)

Which begs the question which side do you believe the left is on by supporting this ?

Of course, it comes in handy when the unions who bribe the politicians support this cause as their dues are predicated on wages rising  as they get a raise every time their members get one.

Who cares about you? And why would you vote for economic devastation in your community? Did raising the minimum do any good last time it was raised?…….. Of course not!

By the way, anybody ever tell these people it's none of their business?

I just watched my Hawks give an ass whooping to the Saints that will be remembered for many years……

But, I’ll just have to wait for global warming before I leave 75 degrees here in Tampa. But, there for a minute, I was ready to be foolish…..

In the meantime, Muffin and I are kicking back and being retired. Since I’m about the laziest guy I’ve ever met and relish in letting everyone know about it, this laying around works for me…..

My latest hobby is commenting on both right and left-wing blogs and stirring the pot. Did you know that the broke dick Chinese are going to nuke us you just wait…. Just as soon as the food is landed in Beijing, of course.lol.

Or, Reagannomics is too still relevant and as soon as I spend my government check I’ll prove it!

Let’s raise the minimum wage is silly talk…..

Periodically the left comes out with this, and as usual, give it no real thought….

Almost everyone on minimum gets government benefits  . These benefits are predicated on income. Raise the income cut the benefits because these people now make too much money. So, these people, at best, come out about even In income when all is said and done…..

Who pays for the increases? Look in the mirror. Think the owners of these business’ are going to suck it up and  increase the workers wages and take a cut?

We get a lot of ignoramus’ running around trying to be nice and soaking  us in the process….

Someone please tell them that there is no free lunch so we will pay.

The best argument I get is…but we’ll pay less taxes because of less benefits paid out to these people.

When’s the last time that happened?

How does Wal-Mart work it? They screw it out of their suppliers who pass it down to their employees and then Wal-mart cuts their own employees wages by slashing hours. (been there done that!)

See the pattern? Wal-mart employees then qualify for more benefits…. You pay more for Chinese trinkets and groceries..

Follow the money on this scam and it’s “the union label” pushing this crap because union contracts have to be above minimum wage!!! (more dues, baby!)

if these people were honest lefties they would push for making the earned income tax credit universal and push to increase it a few bucks. When libertarian Milton Friedman  came up with the idea and right winger Nixon got it through Congress it was  supposed to be paid out monthly..(going by last years taxes the I.R.S. sends out a check based on family reported income every month.)

But no, they ain’t  honest , are they? Or just ignoramus’ by attacking the people who create our jobs and buy our politicians?

Here’s all I have to say about the kennedy murder….

What was Oswald's motive for the killing? We are told he wanted to be famous. Then why did he deny killing the president and tell the media he was a patsy?
Google E. Howard Hunt. Somewhere there is a picture of him in Dallas. He confessed on his deathbed as reported by the media that he did it.....
Who's the deniers? What facts?
We have a high school drop out who worked for minimum wage, the only American in history, that immigrated to the Soviet Union, living there long enough to get a wife and moving back to America. Where did he get the money?  (This is the country that wouldn't let anyone out, ever.....)
Then decides to kill the president whom his wife loved and admired according to friends of the family and went on TV and said he didn't do it! ......Because he wanted to be famous?..
I was 12 when Kennedy was shot and have read every book and article about it and you'll never get me to believe in "miracle bullets" , broke dick commies or 'Right-wing business men ', or watching Oswald assassinated by a mob *ss kisser and expect me to go along....

I was losing all hope that the Dems would be unbeatable.

Hears my take on the “nuclear option” in the Senate….

Reid goes nuts and hands the Republicans a big opportunity....

It's bad enough for these democrats, Mark Begich of Alaska, Mark Pryor of Arkansas, Mary Landrieu of Louisiana and Kay Hagan of North Carolina  Joe Donnelly (D-IN), and Heidi Heitkamp (D-ND) running for re-election in states that Obama lost now have to vote for gun control judges, pro abortion judges, pro tax increase judges,  anti-military judges, Obama care supporting judges etc.

Throw in Obama care and the shit hits the fan next year….

Reid wouldn't let these people vote on anything controversial before the elections knowing that they , if the Republicans get their crap together, would get creamed.

The Dems are finally in deep doo doo. for the next couple of election cycles.....

Kicking back and running the air conditioner…

If only Florida had some mountains I would never leave. The advantage of living Arizona…As you warm up you go up the mountains, and to cool down, go down the mountains.

Plus, I can camp for free year around and metal detect and take pictures of the scenery and of  the stars.

However, in my Idaho, the summers are awesome with fishing and sightseeing. (Where’s global warming when you need it?)So, I will go home periodically…

In the meantime, Muffin and I are pretty comfortable in my 28 foot trailer I bought after the accident to the Heartland. I’ll get a video up soon to show you guys. Much lighter as well as shorter, so boon docking will be a piece of cake where I like to go in no man’s land.

I’m installing a wifi antenna to do a better job of internet on the road and need to put a back porch on this unit for my generator..

But, being retired, I have plenty of time and will remodel the interior so I will post before and after pictures when I get around to it, LOL..

Cut government spending?….

Congress is working on a 500 billon dollar farm bill. (“Welfare as we know it”) and a 625 billion defense spending bill….(have to save the world from suicide bombers, don’t you know!)

And the only cuts we hear about are food stamps, Social Security and Medicare…..

Not enough rich people on these doles, right?

Yes, as I’ve been bitching about this for the last million years….not a nickels difference between the parties except hot air…..especially at election time…

Even Graham and O’Connell are becoming born again t-party fighters….

The best one is how some nobody name Walker is a presidential candidate. So am I. Send money. After all I’ll promise anything it takes and can be bought. I’ll also lie to make you feel abused….

The idea that any sitting governor would go against Christie who is, as of today, the chairman of the Republican Governors Association is beyond Ludacris….

This gang goes around the country handing out Republican candidates millions to run for election. No, you get on your knees and old Christie will make sure you wont suffer for lack of money, governor Walker…

And, so,  as I have been continuously posting on various blogs, Christie-Hillary run for office is on….

Now, for you  new readers, Hillary leads her combined prospective primary opponents by 55 points….She leads Christie by 5 or so one on one…

Christy, who has about 33 per cent support among the Republican primary voting base will have all the governors and most state legislatures funding him. .   That means his 3 or 4 conservative challengers will split the primary vote and he cruises until they run out of money.

As with Hillary, he will have virtually unlimited Wall Street money and various PAC’s…

The only interesting thing is we libertarians and anarchist who voted for Bush and have sat out the last two contest is do we  jump back in to stop Her Majesty from winning..

I bring this up because Romney got 2 million votes less than McCain did in 2008 but. Obama got 9 million fewer votes against Romney than Mac..Reason….Romney’s closet liberalism and for Obama’s deficit,  tax cuts for the rich that he caved on to get the issue behind him…

Now for my critics…Christie is ant-abortion. He cut taxes, real cuts, he beat the unions in a union stronghold, he’s balanced a real budget he’s slaughtered the Dems in a state so blue and corrupt to be considered breathtaking.,……And…….

He did not eat Rhode Island!!!!

Hillary is an historical figure that should have been president if the uber-left and the blacks hadn’t dumped her in 2008. (in the process she was bankrupted as she spent her own money and borrowed millions and Wall Street went over to Obama so as not to be prosecuted….)

They wont make that mistake again. They will excuse and brush off every crime and screw up she has ever done while tearing the right a new one for lying about tax cuts for the little guy who got peanuts while the rich made out like bandits. (including every Democrat in Washington)

More later….

Another look at how our economy works..

Almost had another heart attack today. My Social Security check direct deposit  has been moved to the 20th from the 17th….. I thought the evil government stole it to balance the budget ……..LOL…

Speaking of such, I’m not too fond of most everything told about our system because a whole lot of lying going on…. Just think of all the money people make telling you the country is bankrupt and we are doomed…Buy Gold, cattle futures, fat farm memberships, assault rifles, farm land nobody wants, and my favorite, the government is not for sale….(I relish being the conspiracy nut because I get it right…)

Read this carefully and watch the complaining about deficits for the rest of your life……balancing the budget? Run out of money?

You should live so long, LOL

Because I am extremely lazy (though not as lazy as that article!), I am just going to point out a few of the US government’s assets that prove this point terribly misleading.  For starters, the IER estimates that total fossil fuel resources owned by the Federal government are valued at over $150 trillion alone.  These assets alone are FIFTY FIVE times the amount stated in the CNBC report.  But that only scratches the surface.  I haven’t even looked into the huge amount of federally owned land and buildings that would surely amount into the hundreds of billions if not trillions of dollars.  There’s also the gold resources.  And there’s the trillions of dollars in its own liabilities that it owns via the Fed and Social Security funds.  I have no idea what all of this would add up to, but it would probably be a net worth nearing $200 trillion or more.  Maybe someone out there who is less lazy than I am can put an exact figure on it?

And none of this even touches on the operational realities behind the United States monetary system and the fact that we’re not going bankrupt unless we choose to go bankrupt.  So don’t fret.  The United States is not in the hole.  Not even remotely close.  And we’re not going to be unable to pay the bills on debt denominated in a currency we can print, unless we choose not to pay those bills.

Even many on left agree with me….

Obama is Wall Streets bought and paid for guy. He could have pulled us out of this mess by putting a few gangsters in prison and putting non-Wall Street members in charge of Treasury and banking….

But, I’m just a conspiracy nut who has been watching these guys for 40 years or so…

So, let’s go uber-left and see what one of their top economist thinks……..

Meet professor Michael Hudson……….

…….Having been elected with an enormous voter mandate, Mr. Obama could have reversed the sharp polarization between creditors who were pushing the 99%, industry and real estate, cities and states deeper into financial distress. Instead, his policies have enabled the 1% to monopolize 93% of America’s income gains since the 2008 financial crisis.

At a potential turning point in the direction the American economy was taking, rescue and change were averted. We have seen what will stand as a classic example of cynical Orwellian doublethink. Promising hope and change four years ago, President Obama’s role was to hold back the tide and divert voter pressure for change. He rescued the financial sector and the 1%, and sponsored the Republican privatization of health care instead of the public option, and to take $13 trillion onto the government balance sheet in the form of junk mortgages, largely fraudulent loans held by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac ($5.2 trillion alone) and other casino capitalist gambles gone bad. Mr. Obama was Wall Street’s white knight.

The trick was to get re-elected as a Democrat rather than as a Republican sponsoring a health care plan crafted by the Koch Brothers’ Cato Institute, and putting Wall Street bank lobbyists in charge of the Treasury and (de)regulatory agencies. As a Blue Dog Democrat, how was President Obama made to look better than the alternative?

The answer is clear by looking at the alternatives being offered. The Republicans have played ball. They call him a socialist – Read the rest here…..

And, why didn’t Romney run against Wall Street and beat him ?…after all Obama lost 9 million votes in 2012 compared to 2008…..(Romney got 2 million less than Mac did in 2012..)

Never mind. more conspiracy on my part. Only that Romney has been on Wall Street for most of his life…..Why else would he win the nomination?

Not a nickels difference between the parties besides Rhetoric….

Oh yea, guess who owns Christie and Hillary?….LOL…

Christy is moving along….

I  forgot that he was on the executive committee of the Republican Governors Association. These guys control the party’s campaign money in their states and can raise unlimited money for the presidential candidate.

Mitt Romney, a chairman, was their guy and got the money to run away with the nomination. The establishment takes care of their own….(Rick Perry, whom I thought was going to be a force to reckon with was also a chairman but couldn’t compete with Wall Street money for Romney….)

This coming year Christie is the chairman and will campaign across the country helping Republicans win governorships. A great way to gin up support for his own campaign. Of course, with guys like Kenneth Langone, billionaire owner of Home Depot, and who knows how many more, he’s going to be virtually impossible to beat as far as raising money.

After Tuesday’s election the Republicans are sure that Christie is the guy. He’ll have to make it through the primaries but as his opponents split the votes until they run out of money he is gold…

To win I think Perry or Bush would fair better against Hillary but money talks…..

Joining a third party is a nonstarter…..

My post from the Washington Times

Blame it on the evil elites and form another third party gets you nowhere. It would make you feel better as the mess we are in won't be your fault since you didn't vote for it...I simply vote for the candidates I agree with and ignore the rest. They lose and go away....remember Romney?

Primary them. Send them a message they will see and respect. Running for a new party hasn't worked and never will.... Reform party or Green anyone?

Now, what we have seen is the conservative message being rejected by the voters. This means the left is winning the argument because the Republicans can't offer anything other than cuts to their benefits, bothering them with Jesus, fighting nasty little senseless wars, spying on them, (Obama's bad enough but they think he means well), catering to multi-millionaires, cutting food stamps, cutting unemployment benefits to people who are unemployed thanks to Republicans, threatening to "reform" Social Security,

And letting billion dollar corporations to operate without paying taxes.

Until the Republicans are no longer perceived to be  attacking the voters and offering help to the regular people they are toast...let's not forget that budget cuts come out of the voters pockets.... hello!

Here's an example for a Hillary TV spot....I'm not going to vote for the Republican so he can cut my $1000 a month Social Security check so Limbaugh can sit on his fat tush and keep his millions!!

Yes, the Republicans got themselves into this mess  and it remains to be seen if they can get out of it!

My post today on the Washington Times..

You have four choices in 2016. As it stands right now the fix is in......Hillary, Christie, third party or stay home....

Both of these people will have unlimited money. They will both be savaged by the media and will come out of the primaries roaring. No one else will have any money!

Hillary is an historical figure that the hard left. of whom many  stayed home for Obama (he got 9 million less votes against Romney in 2012 than in '08) will be digging up graves and busing  illegals to Hell and back to get her in there...She is their dream candidate the first woman president after giving the nutty blacks on the left, Obama.

Paybacks for their lives of dedicated efforts to make America look like them. Everybody gets free stuff because they are human and vote left! (Just go to their sites and read their agenda..)

Over the next 2 years she lays low and plays coy as  all her warts and crimes will be ignored, explained and apologized for, then, since nothing new to discuss about her, the media go after the "crazy T-Baggers" and their loony theories of Benghazi, Whitewater, Travel-gate, health-care gate,Vince Foster's mysterious death, File-gate, Cattle-futures gate, Billings-records gate etc. etc.and my favorite,.... she stole the silverware from the White House.....

And you bad mouth the fat guy who looks like a right-wing slobbering nut compared to her!

Pick a candidate, vote in the primary for your guy then we have to vote against Hillary no matter who wins! And  If the right loses Congress and can't  stop amnesty with either of these people in the White House the Republicans will be a minority for decades.....

Remember, her husband won two elections with the most of these same scandals and worse. Obama, a guy raised and nurtured by Marxist, a fellow who never had a position of responsibility (it shows) and unlike Hillary, clueless of how Washington works, can win two elections what makes you so sure she is not unstoppable at this point?

Stay tuned....

Here’s a post I did on The Washington Post…

Simply a lesson to the right. Lukewarm support for the Republican nominee guarantees defeat. You vote for the most pure in the primary but in the general you have to rally for the best person for the job..

This is how Christie wins the nomination....conservatives beat each other up, keep splitting the primary vote ,run out of money, and get run over by big money Republican elites buying and aiding the media is promoting the weakest candidate against Hillary because we are so pissed at getting our "pure" candidate whacked...

Here's the thing....McAuliffe is Hillary's right hand man. This is only the beginning as she lines up her network for 2016....Why" Because she is an historical figure. The first woman president ....And If she wins the presidency she becomes the left's Maggie Thatcher and crushes the Republicans in 2018, 2020.

Conservatives and Republicans have no choice but quit bickering over who is more pure and pick a candidate they can each support...and right now Christie is leading the polls against Hillary and his fellow Republicans. Whine all you want but Romney's debacle proves my point.

Even this libertarian has seen the light and Hillary is much more radical than the criminal she married.....And if we have to hold our nose and vote for the lesser of two evils we do...

Oh yea, watch Christie become a born again right winger. However, with a Congress to keep him straight not a major problem to keep the lid on the ever growing Federal government sucking the life blood out of free men...

My take on the 2016 presidential contest….

Unfortunately for libertarians we always get stuck with your big government Republican  choices who pretend to be for the little guy but rule as socialist. Let's not forget, Republicans consistently voted for the mess we are in.

As for the Democrats they aren't complaining about big deficits that Republicans keep voting for so as to keep the war machine in business…….Only that everybody gets a check so everybody has to vote to keep them in power......Who’s winning that argument as we run out of taxpayers and everybody gets a check……

As long as the goodies in Washington trickles down to the little guy the Democrats will manage to beat the not so generous Republicans. They both vote for more spending every year that we have been alive and always will.

Perhaps we should name the Republican party "ALMOST AS MUCH".

As far as Christie goes why would the Dems vote for a guy who will threaten their checks so as to keep the Limbaugh's millions intact and untaxed as they borrow another trillion and whine about deficits....This message is getting old!

Hillary will do it as president and make history something another liberal Republican can never do because he's lost the election from  day one, like Mac and Romney.

And as deficits, taxes, regulations, social programs, debt, etc. goes these are simply what the voters want! The only way to stop it is to change their minds on the trap called "government." and get them to vote against it...

Anyways let's not forget that Christie has a great track record in one of the most disgusting politically corrupt Hell holes and he's won big time with the libs knowing he's pro life..

Barring a disaster Christie is in as the conservatives tear each other a new asshole in the primaries and Christie with unlimited Wall Street money, like Romney, cruises to the nomination.

But, Hillary walks all over him because all of Obama’s voters will not vote for a party that insist on taking away their checks while letting billionaires and fat cat con artists in business keep their ill gotten gains….the Republicans took a big hit over this in 2008 (there are several campaign spots in the last sentence for Hillary because Hillary has unlimited Wall Street money too..)

So,the best argument I hear against her winning is some obscure reference to someplace called Benghazi….

If you think anyone will tell these voters about Benghazi you are brain dead in the political scene…..her voters can’t even pronounce Benghazi, find it on a map, or will ever hear about it let alone blame her for it…

I personally believe these contest are decided ahead of time but I’m just an old conspiracy nut who remembers the Mafia shooting Kennedy 50 years ago. (we have death bed confessions admitting it…..)

Anything else go wrong this year?.......

George Jones, country superstar, dies at 81 | Fox News

George Jones, the peerless, hard-living country singer who recorded dozens of hits about good times and regrets and peaked with the heartbreaking classic "He Stopped Loving Her Today," has died. He was 81. Jones died Friday at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville after being hospitalized with fever and irregular blood pressure, according to his publicist Kirt Webster. With one of the most golden voices of any genre, a clenched, precise, profoundly expressive baritone, Jones had No. 1 songs in five separate decades, 1950s to 1990s. He was idolized not just by fellow country artists, but by Frank Sinatra, Pete Townshend, Elvis Costello, James Taylor and countless others. "If we all could sing like we wanted to, we'd all sound like George Jones," Waylon Jennings once sang.

» Is Everyone Afraid to say Islamic Extremist? » The Loft -- GOPUSA

The entire storyline of the two men responsible for the horrible terrorist attack during the Boston Marathon has me completely stunned. These two radicals, picked a very public event and a location they knew would be filled with people, including children, and decided they wanted to kill Americans. Yet, in all the coverage, the phrase all media avoided like the plague, was the one that was the most obvious and readily known: they were Islamic extremists.

Living at Wally World....

I leave Idaho in thirteen days. Will not miss the freezing weather but everything else. Especially the good people at Walmart. The dog and I are quite comfortable and are both raring to go on the road. Just need the grandson to graduate from Americorp and we are off.

Will be mobile for the rest of my life and can't wait!

Now if the Dems can get enough Republicans to quit Congress...

The House will pretty much ignore this. Remember, it's all bull to raise money for the next campaign. Global warming and abortion, let alone picking on gays is out. Stealing our guns are in.

But what would the left say if it was the first amendment instead of the second, hmmm?

» Senate votes to overcome filibuster of gun bill » News -- GOPUSA

Next week senators will be able to offer amendments that pose the real test for whether the larger bill will succeed. Both gun-rights advocates and supporters of even stricter gun control expect to offer additional proposals that would ban the sales of certain types of assault weapons ban or expand concealed weapons permits. The first amendment expected to come to a vote would be a compromise reached this week on background checks brokered by Sens. Joe Manchin (D-W. Va.) and Pat Toomey (R-Pa.) that was seen as increasing the likelihood that the larger package will pass. "The political landscape of America on gun safety is changing before our eyes," Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) said just moments before the vote at a news conference with family members of the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre who later watched the vote from the Senate gallery. "The political conventional wisdom four months ago was that nothing would be done. Today we prove that conventional wisdom wrong."

Next thing you know they'll be saying background checks will stop gun violence....

Oh wait they are all ready. These people will say anything to ram down our throats this left wing propaganda. There is no discernable climate warming going on caused by you driving to work. Same with background checks...criminals don't do background checks because they are criminals.

You can buy anything in the world without the government knowing about it. But if the gun confiscators know who has them it's only a matter of time before they get them from law abiding citizens. These people are terrified of us. We have enough firepower to take over several not so small countries let alone take out a dozen Gabrielle Giffords.

If youn really want o fight gun crimes take the nuts off the streets!

Climate change skeptics seize on reports showing temperatures leveling | Fox News

In recent weeks, Der Spiegel, the Telegraph and the Economist have reported the unexpected stabilizing of global surface temperatures. Even former NASA scientist and outspoken climate change activist James Hansen has acknowledged the 10-year lull.  Morano said: "In the peer-reviewed literature we're finding hundreds of factors influence global temperature, everything from ocean cycles to the tilt of the earth's axis to water vapor, methane, cloud feedback, volcanic dust, all of these factors are coming together. They're now realizing it wasn't the simple story we've been told of your SUV is creating a dangerously warm planet."  Many climate scientists and environmentalists agree with Morano's description of climate complexity, but reject his denials of global warming as a problem.  "This is a highly complex calculation to make in the first place. The short period of time, only 10 years in which the increasing temperature has leveled, really doesn't tell us very much other than the fact that temperatures may still be rising but just not as fast as they were before," said Elgie Holstein, the senior director for strategic planning at the Environmental Defense Fund and a former assistant secretary at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

Yes, in told you so....

Read my back posts. Cutting spending in depressions is nuts. And raising taxes on the rich is stupid. The last thing we ned is for our paychecks to go down and every price of necessities go up.....DUH!!!!

» Rising jobless claims hit four-month weekly high » News -- GOPUSA

The number of Americans filing jobless claims reached a four-month high last week, sparking renewed concerns that the labor market is still on shaky ground. The Labor Department reported Thursday that weekly applications increased by 28,000, the third straight increase, to a seasonally adjusted 385,000. That's the highest level since late November. The gain pushed the four-week average, a less volatile measure, to 354,250. It marked a 28,000 increase from February and the highest jobless claims since November. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics is scheduled to release the March employment numbers on Friday.

More left-wing dreaming....

When's the last time the border was locked down or the visas enforced? I remember some guys almost 12 years ago were here on expired visas, am I not correct? These people are pathetic. Don't enforce border control, don't enforce visas and don't make it expensive for business to hire illegals is the normal solution to the billions the taxpayers are paying for this problem in the states.

I know, business as usual no matter what we say or for whom we vote for. Tell me again there's a nickles difference between the parties!

Robert Reich (What Immigration Reform Could Mean for American Workers, and Why the AFL-CIO Is Embracing It)

Their agreement on is very preliminary and hasn’t yet even been blessed by the so-called Gang of Eight Senators working on immigration reform, but the mere fact that AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka and Chamber of Commerce President Thomas J. Donohue agreed on anything is remarkable.   The question is whether it’s a good deal for American workers. It is, and I’ll explain why in a moment. Under the agreement (arrived at last weekend) a limited number of temporary visas would be issued to foreign workers in low-skilled occupations, who could thereafter petition to become American citizens. The agreement is an important step toward a comprehensive immigration reform package to be introduced in the Senate later this month. Disagreement over allowing in low-skilled workers helped derail immigration reform in 2007. The unions don’t want foreign workers to take jobs away from Americans or depress American wages, while business groups obviously want the lowest-priced workers they can get their hands on.

Sitting here in California always gets me thinking....

Can't wait to leave. However, I really wonder about the Republican big shots pushing amnesty thinking the Mexicans will become born again conservative voters. Must be why the Democrats are all for it, right?

Yes, there is no real difference between the parties except rhetoric to get your vote!

EDITORIAL: The immigration trap - Washington Times

The Republican National Committee’s postelection “autopsy” report issued Monday suggests that comprehensive immigration reform could improve the party’s sagging fortunes with Hispanic voters. Readers of the conclusions of the “Growth and Opportunity Project” are looking for reasons why Republican presidential candidates lost the past two elections. The pathologists observe that George W. Bush, who championed comprehensive immigration reform, “got 44 percent of the Hispanic vote [in 2004], a modern-day record for a Republican presidential candidate.” Some exit polling from 2004 suggests that figure may be overstated, but the Democratic nominee nevertheless won a solid majority. Over the past four decades, the Democratic nominee has never won less than 56 percent of the Hispanic vote. Even the 2008 nominee, John McCain, the most prominent Republican immigration-reform advocate, won only 31 percent, just 4 percentage points more than Mitt Romney, who took a much tougher line on immigration, garnered last year. There’s no clear connection between the party platform on immigration and the election results.

Boehner: No US debt crisis right now, but it's on the horizon | Fox News

House Speaker John Boehner broke from some Republicans on Sunday when he agreed with President Obama and other Democrats who say the country does not have an immediate debt crisis. “We do not have an immediate debt crisis,” the Ohio Republican said on ABC’s “This Week.” However, Boehner said such a crisis is on the horizon and disagreed with Obama about the need to fix the problem now. “We have one looming because we have entitlement programs that are not sustainable in their current form. They’re going to go bankrupt,” he said. “I would argue that we do need to do something.”

We really have to read the mainstream media with a grain of salt....

First, there have not been any balanced budgets in our lifetime. The government just runs deficits off the books.....these expenditures are referred to as "off budget outlays". Second, our Social Security trust funds have been used to cover up deficits making the Clinton years look good. And third, the boom under Clinton was the results of REGANOMICS!

And fourth, budget deficits are accounting gimmicks to rally or scare the shit out of uninformed voters who believe that government spending disappears down a rat hole and we will go bankrupt paying it back......

Now, keeping the government small has been a grand goal because the government now owns us and the gang who owns the government controls the global empire our forefathers created to make us the wealthiest people in history. And they will kill or imprison you to keep it that way.

I have no problem with you and I controlling the empire through honest government but we ain't there, are we? The rot is at the very top. Proven every election that very few, if any, candidate can get elected unless he joins the gang in Washington and takes their money and do what he is told.

Most of the time these people are threatening our old age insurance so they can bomb the Hell out little brown people around the world. Even though the brown people have nothing but their bodies to fight back with. So, the net result? We wont rob the old geezers if you just leave our military budget alone (Ever not wonder where all the deficit spending comes from?)

Ron Paul had a point that if we would quit fucking with these unimportant countries most of our international problems would go away. Remember, we bribe them instead with sex, drugs and rock n roll and make them like us, Americans.

But, who wants to Americanize these people when we can simply scare the shit out of ninnies and little old ladies here in the states to vote and give money to the gang that owns us to keep killing them.

These people , like the Japanese and now Chinese, would make good little consumers if given a chance. But the war machine must continue because all those billions are spent and create jobs and votes.

By the way, I am all for empire. I believe everybody on the planet should be able to eat, sleep, fuck and shit without being bombed let alone imprisoned for opening their mouths. One thing I've learned that most people would prefer to be bought!!

Let's start with offering anyone who can read and write English citizenship. Then we can tax them for Social Security and Medicare and leave the sick and dying alone.

Do you see why I can no longer support the Republicans or Democrats. They thrive on bribes, fear mongering and asinine economic theories!!

Balanced Budget Fight Is Philosophical and Fiscal - NYTimes.com

The handful of balanced budgets achieved in the past four decades have tended to be the result of a strong economy. The surpluses of the late 1990s, for instance, came about in no small part because of unexpectedly strong economic growth and a bubble in the stock market, as well as tax increases and spending cuts during the Clinton administration. Now, how and whether to get back to a balanced budget seems to be a new fight between Democrats and Republicans. “It will generate a debate over the appropriate goal of long-term fiscal policy,” wrote William A. Galston of the Brookings Institution in an analysis of Mr. Ryan’s budget plan. “Is it to eliminate the deficit and the debt, to ensure that the debt does not rise as a share of G.D.P., or something in between?”

McCain is a symptom of the rot in Washington....

Soon he'll be replaced by a Mexican Democrat because of his stand on amnesty and other bizaar things. Graham has been a closet Democrat since day one. No one pays much attention to them except the liberals in the press. I'll not write of them again because.....I TOLD YOU SO....

» Patton: McCain and Graham, Irrelevant or Dangerous? » Commentary -- GOPUSA

Amash has put his finger on the pulse of the problem. John McCain and Lindsay Graham have been in Washington far too long. When a Republican United States Senator prefers to attack Rand Paul and Ted Cruz for defending liberty rather than Barack Obama and Eric Holder for trying to destroy it, that senator has become irrelevant at best or dangerous at worst.

Feds Spend $1.5 million to Study Obese Lesbians | FOX News & Commentary: Todd Starnes

It is now well-established that women of minority sexual orientation are disproportionately affected by the obesity epidemic, with nearly three-quarters of adult lesbians overweight or obese, compared to half of heterosexual women,” according to a description of the grant. The taxpayer money was awarded to Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston to study the relationship between sexual orientation and obesity. The project is overseen by S. Bryn Austin. The grant was awarded through the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development. The hospital received a 2011 grant worth $778,622 and a 2012 grant worth $778,622. According to the NIH grant, the project’s end date is in 2016. NIH Spokesman Robert Bock told Fox News future grant payments could be impacted by sequestration. “It is not possible to say how this or any other NIH grant will be affected in the long term beyond the 90 percent funding levels already in place,” he said in a written statement. “Obesity is one of the most critical public health issues affecting the U.S. today,” the grant states. “Racial and socioeconomic disparities in obesity are receiving increasing attention; however, one area of disparities that is only beginning to be recognized is the striking interplay of gender and sexual orientation.” The hospital noted that heterosexual males have nearly double the risk of obesity compared to gay males. “Our study has high potential for public health impact not only for sexual minorities but also for heterosexuals,” the grant states.

These cuts are unnecessary....

With an official unemployment rate of over 8 per cent destroying jobs is nuts. Cutting benefits to anyone leads to new faces in Washington who haven't a clue of what to do.. Of course, the old faces don't either. We need to quit panicking over accounting gimmicks and concentrate on our government quit growing us into a dictatorship or revolution.

The only way to do that is quit creating new entitlements and programs not slash our economy into depression levels and then we find an Emperor to make it all better. I'm an Empire kind of guy as i believe everyone on the plane deserves to be an American citizen if they want and we have no business killing them when we can just bribe them.

Just imagine a thousand nuts blowing themselves up in our shopping malls or court houses. The only way right now is to spy on everybody and arrest anyone that fits the profile.

Even writting a blog could get you arrested!

By the way, my solution would work with Mexicans too. Just fine them for their crime of illegal entry and after an appropriate waiting period, swear them in and start collecting taxes.

Read the followin piece on line and you'll find that I've answered his question about saving Social Security....TAX THE SHIT OUT OF THEM!!!

Why Sequester May Be Exactly the Right Policy for the Economy

To put it differently, no matter what budget reforms we enact, we have a long-term care problem — not a long-term deficit problem. Even if we dramatically cut down on the long-term deficit by slashing entitlement spending, so that any care in excess of that has to be funded privately, we'll still face the same challenge. That challenge cannot really be solved through budgets. No matter how much we tax now, no matter how much we save now, in the future the economy will be limited to what it is able to produce. The challenge is to set that limit as high as possible, so there is as much as possible for the young and the old to divide it among themselves according to market processes. The point is that we're going to work, one way or another, to keep an elderly population in decent conditions. Whether we do this by making sure Social Security is self-funding through benefit cuts or tax hikes, or by creating structures that encourage people to have more children who can care for them, or by some other means, is secondary at best.

All we have to do to eliminate budget deficits.....

get rid of the old, the sick and the military...problem solved. Then we hire politicians with half a brain and restart the programs for the old, the sick and the military. Once we eliminate the deficit we can start over again because you can't run a modern economy with out deficits. It takes a year to gather the taxes to pay for today's expenditures.

So, you borrow or print until then....THIS IS CALLED DEFICIT SPENDING.

Oh yeah, didn't I ever tell you it ain't gonna happen!!

Too many politicians and media types. in order to get the government from smothering us, invented deficits will bankrupt us and our children. Sounds great except not one single politician will survive such a dumb move. Taking checks from people who depend on them is a nonstarter.

Talk about political suicide!!

Ben Bernanke, Hippie - NYTimes.com

He then argued that given the state of the economy, we’re currently spending too little, not too much: “A substantial portion of the recent progress in lowering the deficit has been concentrated in near-term budget changes, which, taken together, could create a significant headwind for the economic recovery.” Finally, he suggested that austerity in a depressed economy may well be self-defeating even in purely fiscal terms: “Besides having adverse effects on jobs and incomes, a slower recovery would lead to less actual deficit reduction in the short run for any given set of fiscal actions.” So the deficit is not a clear and present danger, spending cuts in a depressed economy are a terrible idea and premature austerity doesn’t make sense even in budgetary terms. Regular readers may find these propositions familiar, since they’re pretty much what I and other progressive economists have been saying all along. But we’re irresponsible hippies. Is Ben Bernanke? (Well, he has a beard.)

For more than a week, All Around Pizza in Virginia Beach has grabbed national attention as gun-toting patrons have taken advantage of a discount offered to customers who carry a firearm or have a concealed handgun permit. On Tuesday night, Piers Morgan of CNN told the restaurant owner that he hopes the promotion "fails spectacularly." It's the only national interview that Jay Laze has granted. These people are nuts......

As long as we have new mouths to feed we have to grow the economy. What are they trying to say?

Growth is the Enemy of Humankind | NationofChange

Politicians, lobbyists and corporate media talking heads, and far too many ordinary people, have accepted and are promoting as gospel the circular notion that it’s important to encourage business to grow so that people will be hired and the economy can grow. This specious argument is used to justify the weakening labor unions, the raising of taxes on workers while they are cut for companies and the rich, the cutting of earned benefit programs like Social Security and Medicare, the gutting worker safety and environmental safety regulations, and the elimination of regulation of activities like banking, corporate mergers and takeovers, pharmaceutical companies etc. In fact every government action that results in making life harder or more dangerous for ordinary working people or for the poor is defended on the basis that it is necessary so that business can make more profit and help the economy to grow. Growing the economy, however, is not, or certainly should not, be the reason we have government, the reason we are a country, or the reason we are a society.

Before Default, Let Republicans Bump Up Hard Against the Debt Ceiling | NationofChange

A prolonged confrontation over the nation's debt ceiling — unlike the "fiscal cliff," which provoked many scary headlines — could truly be grave for both America and the world. While press coverage often mentions the possibility of lowered credit ratings for the U.S. Treasury (again), that might only be the mildest consequence if Republicans in Congress actually refuse to authorize borrowing and avoid default. Last time the nation prepared to face such an impasse, during the spring and summer of 2011, the chairman of the Treasury Borrowing Advisory Committee — a JPMorgan Chase official named Matthew Zames — laid out a disturbing scenario in a letter to Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner, in which he foresaw a rolling catastrophe that could inflict hundreds of billions in additional borrowing costs; spark a run on money funds, leading to a renewed financial crisis; severely disrupt financial markets and borrowing, killing fragile economic growth; and push the economy back into recession due to higher interest rates and tightened credit.

Sales taxes are a winner......

Yes, I'm going to beat this horse again. Income taxes kill jobs, incentives, and our notion of fairness. The worse idea in history because eventually the politically connected end up not paying........ DUH!!!!

Then the average guy looks around for a way  out of paying so he ends up voting for socialism and not reporting his income. Ultimately we end up not filing a form and the government becomes a gang of enforcers to keep the good times rolling in the capital.

Probably the most egreges is the class of parasites that grow from this tax system. Lobbyist, tax lawyers, real estate groups, tax payer rights organisations, media gadflys, beuracrats,  etc. all making reform or enforcement impossible.

Sales taxes just work. Just go shopping at Walmart in  a sales tax state and you'll see. Buy it and leave. Your paying a bit of everyone's taxes involved in the making, shipping and selling on the sale and then you pay the sales taxes to fund the local government.

Not a whole lot of parasites needed to fund the government involved here. Oh yes, this is the reason it's not going to happen nationally.

Too much bribe money opposing it!!

TAUBE: Jindal-style tough love could be shot in the arm for GOP - Washington Times

For example, voters will listen to intelligent ideas that can lower personal income taxes and increase annual take-home pay. Support for smaller government is a must. A free-market economy with greater private-sector influence, trade liberalization and increased business and job opportunities will appeal to the American entrepreneurial spirit. Taming the deficit and controlling the debt will win brownie points. More individual rights and freedoms play to the historic — and accurate — position that Americans continue to value life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Mr. Jindal is starting to do just that in Louisiana. Last month, the governor proposed eliminating income and corporate state taxes, and increasing sales tax to make up for the shortfall. As he told the Times-Picayune, “For too long, Louisiana’s workers and small businesses have suffered from having a state tax structure that is too complex and that holds back economic prosperity. It’s time to change that so people can keep more of their own money and foster an environment where businesses want to invest and create good-paying jobs.”

What a waste of bytes......

My answer to a Washington Times article:

To balance the budget you would have to eliminate the defense department, Social Security, Medicare, most government agencies and then you would only come close. I imagine even the most ardent tea party voter would chase his Congress men out of town.  Which makes this about as useful a political strategy as returning us to a gold standard. So whining about RINOs being too stupid to commit political suicide so you would feel better about economics is a non starter.....Election time no one will listen to you.

Again, the problem lies in the fact that the Federal government under a fiat system doesn't have to "balance it's check book " because it has unlimited money. As for bringing budgets into balance you quit creating new programs and give everyone a job until everybody no longer needs these so called budget busting programs and these deficits go the way of the Russians are coming.

And yes, I told anyone who would listen 30 years ago that sending all those blue collar jobs over seas would come back to bite us in the ass because you end up creating a humungous dependant class because too many of these people could barely make it through the ninth grade and.....

I TOLD YOU SO!!!

But I forget, it's those mean old Democrats  who are to blame for that and now it's those damn RINOs who refuse to commit political suicide.......

MILLER: The balanced budget dream - Washington Times

Under a law that just took effect, Barack Obama will be the first president required to send Congress a budget that balances at some point in the future. Since that point isn’t likely to be in anyone’s lifetime, Republicans once again are looking to a constitutional amendment to impose restraint. A firm limit is needed as our debt exceeds $16.5 trillion and will grow as Mr. Obama adamantly refuses to turn away from his tax-and-spend ways. All 45 Senate Republicans joined together in introducing a balanced budget amendment on the day after the president’s State of the Union address. “While the tendency in Washington is to eternally kick the can down the road, most Americans understand we’re at the end of that road,” Sen. John Cornyn, Texas Republican, the lead sponsor of the bill, told The Washington Times. “Now is the moment for the president and Democrats in Congress to join us and force Washington to follow the lead of working families and small businesses and balance its checkbook.”

It's legally defined as an "arm" and as such the government can not take it away without due process in a court of law.

Tough titty lefty.....

You would think these guys would be trying to do something important with their time but no they have to scare the fuck out of so we will give them money and votes. Both parties went broke trying to elect liberals as president and we got one. Now they need to get some more money to screw us over even more.

Make sure you participate, MORON!!!!

LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Citizens must protect themselves - Washington Times

On a recent show, British TV host Piers Morgan pressed radio host Dana Loesch on why anyone would need an AR-15 rifle. I would like Mr. Morgan to answer a question for me: Why did the London police abandon whole sections of their city to be burned and looted? The fact is they set up a perimeter to protect the empowered, the well-to-do and their own safety. The London police left thousands of citizens to fend for themselves. Given British gun laws, the best the police had were baseball bats to protect themselves and their property. If Mr. Morgan really wants an answer to why people need AR-15s, he can ask the shopkeepers in Los Angeles, who were abandoned in identical fashion by the L.A. police during the riots in the 1990s. The police are under no legal obligation to protect you personally. Legally speaking, they can stand across the street and do nothing while your home is burned to the ground. Unfortunately, both here and in Britain, they sometimes choose to do exactly that.

What's with the left wing nuts lately?....

Bet you didn't even realise the vast majority of these nut cases shooting up the place were die hard oba mama voters? LOL.

Well, made to Tampa to see Patti. She's in no pain down here but she's very frail and becoming more helpless. Time will tell what I have to do but hospitalisation isn't that far away. Have to talk to her doctor and find the alternatives and figure how to pay for it. I believe the government picks up most of it but will find out.

Why the California Manhunt Should Embarrass the Gun Control Crowd - USConcealedCarry.com

But what the press avoided reporting were Mr. Dorner’s political and social views, despite the fact that in his own published manifesto, Mr. Dorner clearly stated his radical left-wing political beliefs. He went so far as to give a laundry list of liberal celebrities and news people whom he admired (Charlie Sheen being the most ludicrous). Now, we all know that the talking heads in the media would have been shouting from the rooftops if a mad killer had ever listened to Rush Limbaugh, or once visited a Tea Party website. But they seem utterly uninterested in Mr. Dorner’s radical leftist views, or how they might have motivated his killing spree. Not surprisingly, they adamantly continue to deny any bias in their reporting.

couldn't agree more.....

A government as ours can print, borrow tax or steal any monies it needs. And it doesn't have to worry about this until the economy booms. Then we get inflationar y bubbles and humungous busts. Ask old George Bush!!!

f | Today

Well if those interest rates DO RISE, there is NO IMMEDIATE effect on interest paid by the debtor country because rates of interest on bonds are fixed when bonds are first issued. However, as bonds mature, then clearly the question arises as to whether to roll them over and pay the new higher rate of interest, or simply print money and repay the relevant creditors. Now there might seem to be a problem with the latter “print” option, namely that it could be inflationary. Well you have to wonder what planet anyone who thinks that has been living on for the last three years. During that time we’ve printed money like there’s no tomorrow and bought back debt and in the guise of quantitative easing. And where is the hyperinflation? However, its perfectly possible (in particular, absent a recession) that money printing could be inflationary. But that’s no problem: that inflationary effect can be countered with a very simple DEFLATIOINARY measure, namely raising taxes (and/or cutting public spending). And assuming the latter inflationary and deflationary effects cancel out, there is no effect on anything: no effect on demand, numbers employed and so on. See what I mean? This is all a total non-problem!! Well very nearly: there is actually one very minor problem which has to do with the amount of debt held by foreigners.

Eventually the economy will sky rocket.....

Then you raise taxes and interest rates.....Not during crashes. Bush did the opposite and destroyed the banking industry and then had to invent tarp to save the gang on Wall Street who owns our government . These criminals and ignoamus' wouldn't send you a dime but bailed out their friends with YOUR money..

Think about it next time you think voting makes a difference!

Kick That Can - NYTimes.com

But that’s a secondary issue. The key point is this: While it’s true that we will eventually need some combination of revenue increases and spending cuts to rein in the growth of U.S. government debt, now is very much not the time to act. Given the state we’re in, it would be irresponsible and destructive not to kick that can down the road. Start with a basic point: Slashing government spending destroys jobs and causes the economy to shrink.

Get out the knee pads......

Suck up and they will vote for Republicans....Yea, right

“Bravo” to Marco Rubio and GOP for Embracing Spanish | Fox News Latino

On Tuesday evening, it was announced Senator Marco Rubio would provide the GOP’s response to President Obama’s State of the Union address next week. No surprise, there — Rubio is the GOP’s rising star. What sent the Web into a tailspin of commentary: Rubio will present his remarks in both English and Spanish. While the majority of Americans cheer and praise the unique, historic move, criticisms nonetheless abound — from both sides of the political aisle. Comments on Twitter range from: “the GOP’s token Hispanic” and “it’s shameless pandering” to “this prevents Latinos’ assimilation” and (shockingly) “Rubio has divided loyalties.”

Republicans bark up wrong tree....

Deficits are reduced when we have jobs and credit to pay more in taxes.....Every dollar of government goes to us and goes back to the government in taxes....

Want to reduce deficits? Hire somebody off the unemployment and welfare rolls. Then send everybody a refun check or a loan forgiveness on student loans and something the Republicans forgot and got themselves into this mess....quit enlarging the government with new programs when you get back in charge.

Do I seriously believe this will happen? The Mexicans will declare California a free country first....(About time..)

Robert Reich (The Economic Challenge Ahead: More Jobs and Growth, Not Deficit Reduction)

Under these circumstances, increasing taxes on the middle class (as, for example, Republican legislators and governors are eagerly doing by raising sales taxes, and as the federal government did last month by raising Social Security taxes) makes it even harder for consumers to spend. Which means slower growth and fewer jobs.  Likewise, cuts in government spending, such as occurred in the fourth quarter of 2012, cause the economy to contract — as it did in the fourth quarter.  In other words, we’re still having the wrong discussion. It shouldn’t be how to cut the budget deficit. It should be how to bring back good jobs and economic growth.  Deficit hawks and government-haters are still framing the debate. That bodes ill for all of us.

Isn't it funny....

That in cities controlled by the Dems they can't get their voters through to vote? Or is it they can't fill the ballot boxes with fake voters......

Robert Reich (The Real Debate Over American Citizenship)

Long waiting lines depressed voter turnout last November, especially in cities where Democrats outnumber Republicans. One study showed blacks and Hispanics on average had to wait nearly twice as long to vote as whites. Some gave up trying.  Voter registration is part of that issue, along with what sorts of proof of citizenship states may require. Dozens of legal challenges and lower-court decisions were made in the months leading up to the November election. Some are heading to appellate courts.  Congressional Democrats are pushing legislation to require states to ease voting requirements — allowing more early voting, online voting, and quicker means of registering. Meanwhile, the Supreme Court is preparing to hear a major challenge to the Voting Rights Act of 1965 potentially giving states more leeway to tighten voting standards.

My retirement jumped over 600 bucks this quarter ....

The boom will happen if the clowns in Washington would just leave the economy alone....Sounds like we have a good start because credit is being showered on me right now....And I'm borrowing!!

But speculation in the gasoline market will have to be curbed or all bets are off. I just know that the fat cats in Washington are in on this but cant find evidence yet......

Oh yea, DRILL BABY DRILL!!!

Major changes from oil revolution - Washington Times

For Americans who came of age in an era marked by worries about scarce world oil supplies, dominant international oil cartels and unrest in the Middle East, the times are changing — quickly. Technologies bred in America are unlocking reserves of oil that for decades were considered out of reach. With oil production from shale rock, oil sands and deep-sea drilling booming in the U.S., Canada, Brazil and elsewhere, worries about Middle East-based oil cartels and vulnerable Persian Gulf supply lines are close to becoming things of the past. “Until recently, the U.S. was importing a significant chunk of its oil from the Middle East,” in particular, Saudi Arabia and Iraq, said Fatih Birol, chief economist at the International Energy Agency. “But we expect the U.S. will not need Middle East oil sometime soon. This has implications for international oil markets and beyond that.” Yet even as America’s energy resurgence enables the nation to dabble with the prospect of energy independence for the first time in a half-century and cast off a long-standing preoccupation with the oil cartel OPEC, China and other emerging titans are stepping to the fore with fast-rising energy demands that increasingly put them at the behest of OPEC’s producers. The combination is shaking up long-held assumptions about how U.S. political leaders should deal with the world’s most indispensable commodity.

Yes, make more cuts and raise taxes morons....

Good thing these guys are in charge, right? Cut the budget and raise taxes sounds so good to the nitwits who vote for these clowns and then they end up broke and on the street scratching their asses wondering "why doesn't the government do something about it?" Guess what assholes this is doing something about it....Want more?

What part of all government spending and borrowing goes into our pockets and gets sent back to the government through our taxes don't these people understand? You seriously want to end government deficits?

Quit taking the checks and whining for the government to do something about everything and GIVE EVERYBODY A JOB!!!

Oh yes, and make sure the illegals pay their fucking taxes!!

In the meantime, I'm loading up on credit and everything I need for my RV retirement. Glock pistol, metal detector, new business, Honda generator, new Iphone, and everything else I'm going to need before these fools wreck the economy.

And yes, I predicted a boom starting now and I was right. Housing ...boom, manufacturing...boom, and this spring, construction....boom. But if we kill a few hundred billion in government spending before we finish the DEPRESSION we are in all bets are off.

AND I TOLD YOU SO!!!

By the way, what's really behind gun grabbing do you think....Maybe to be able to back away from BUDGET CUTS to the working voting public and scrape up campaign contributions because these assholes spent several hundred billion dollars running two liberals for President....

P.S. did I ever tell you there isn't a nickels difference between these two parties except rhetoric? What more proof do you need? Does this sound credible?  Who do you hate? Who are you afraid of?   And so, vote for us and we will make them pay! (Fill in the blank for "them")

Other than that, stay tuned for the next"crisis" so these guys keep power over us....Works everytime it's tried. Just turn on the TV..

Republicans rip White House over finger pointing in wake of dismal GDP report | Fox News

Republicans accused the White House of having selective amnesia Wednesday after President Obama's top spokesman blamed Republicans for an unexpectedly dismal GDP report that showed the economy contracting in the fourth quarter. The White House had suggested GOP willingness to let sweeping defense cuts take effect was the culprit -- but an aide to House Speaker John Boehner quickly reminded Democrats that Republicans have tried to stop those cuts. "These arbitrary, automatic cuts were a creation and demand of the White House in 2011," Boehner spokesman Brendan Buck said. "Twice the House has passed legislation to replace them with common sense cuts and reforms. If there was any uncertainty late last year about the sequester, it was because the Democratic-controlled Senate, per usual, never lifted a finger to pass a plan to replace it." White House Press Secretary Jay Carney and House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi earlier alleged that GOP feet-dragging during talks over the fiscal crisis and willingness to accept automatic defense cuts contributed to the economic squeeze. The Commerce Department report showed the economy shrinking for the first time since 2009.

Here come amnesty.....

Republicans will vote for amnesty and bring more Dem voters. No one said they were truthful about these issues. They just pretend to be a conservative to get your vote. No worse than the Dems pretending to be for gun control in order to generate votes and money.

Got to love this...

Ban high capacity magazines?.....

All we have to do is Google "Glock 19" and watch these guys shoot a hundred rounds or more within a couple of minutes using 10 round clips. I can change clips in about 2 seconds and I'm not even trained. I can't for the life of me figure what the libs think they are doing alienated half the voters out there who own 2 or 3 hundred million guns.

Other than blowing smoke up their voters  "progressive" asses for votes and money of course. Oh, didn't I tell you this is corruption and vote pandering from a class of people who don't do anything useful, necessary, or valid in their petty little lives.

Oh yes, I also said withing 6 months or so we would be in a boom. Oba mama will get credit for it even though he didn't do much other than pay off and not prosecute the gang that got us into this DEPRESSION. Expect boom and bust, progressively worse as the years go by.

I'm loading up on credit cards so i can retire and have a comfortable life because it wont last long before we will be in the shit again. Probably 2 or 3 years before the gansters squeeze the politicians for more bailouts. Remember credit cards are unsecured so if you "can't make the payments" not much the banks can do but quit giving you credit for a couple of years.

And don't forget, there is no votes or money for campaigns advocating touching Defense spending so the geezers are the target. The media gets us off track with this gun grabbing bullshit that is settled law by Supreme Court ruling. If you have a gun stashed away(you don't?. Are you nuts?) learn to reload it even if it's cheaper to buy the ammo ant Walmart right now.

For instance this example: How about a 5$ tax on a bullits for "assault weapons" or the Feds drop by your house to search for concealed weapons etc.

It's happened with with booze and Pot which have periodically been legal or considered poitical poison depending on the money .

In the meantime, if you have a SS check or government pension, they want it or they will use the possibility to take it to get you to go along with any scheme these guys dream up.

P.s, I only say this because of our past history. Just ask the survivors of Ruby Ridge or Waco!

Brazil Lets Inmates Take Holiday Vacation... Surprisingly Some Don't Return | Fox News Latino

Brazil’s holiday season gift to its inmates turned into a bag of coal for jail administrators after thousands of prisoners granted a temporary leave to visit their families for Christmas and New Years failed to return to their cells.  Over 2,400 Brazilian inmates, or 5 percent of total inmates released, still remain at large after the government  gave them leave during the holidays. What's surprising: Some 45,000 inmates sent free in December are willingly back behind bars, according to a survey taken by Brazilian newspaper O Globo

Getting restless as I near retirement .....

Who knew that not working for a steady check would be so close. Still have to get a few things taken care of before I pull the plug by now can't wait.

Have a lot I want to do before I'm too old and working ain't one of them. Though going back into business would be fun as I now have a few bucks stashed away and a nice line of credit.

I never wanted to quit selling around the country in the first place but the economy did me in and we needed to get a fresh start.

Good thing we did because of health issues and rebuilding my credit. Now I have choices when I get to Florida this spring .

Keep you guys posted .

This liberal concedes that we ain't going to give up our guns without a fight...

These clowns can't even get the government toenforce what laws we have....failure of government or design?

NationofChange Gifts | NationofChange Donation Gifts

In Living with Guns, Craig R. Whitney, former foreign correspondent and editor at the New York Times, seeks out answers. He re-examines why the right to bear arms was enshrined in the Bill of Rights, and how it came to be misunderstood. He looks to colonial times, surveying the degree to which guns were a part of everyday life. Finally, blending history and reportage, Whitney explores how twentieth-century turmoil and culture war led to today’s climate of activism, partisanship, and stalemate, in a nation that contains an estimated 300 million guns––and probably at least 60 million gun owners. In the end, Whitney proposes a new way forward through our gun rights stalemate, showing how we can live with guns––and why, with so many of them around, we have no other choice.

Miss Montana Alexis Wineman to become first autistic Miss America contestant | Fox News

Miss Montana Alexis Wineman will make history on Saturday night when she takes the stage at the 2013 Miss America Competition, becoming the first autistic contestants to ever participate in the pageant. Wineman, 18, will also be this year’s youngest contestant competing in the beauty pageant. She told Fox she was diagnosed at the age of 11.   “For the longest time I just really wanted to know what was wrong with me,” she said. “When I was finally diagnosed I felt like it came too late.”
