More left-wing dreaming....

When's the last time the border was locked down or the visas enforced? I remember some guys almost 12 years ago were here on expired visas, am I not correct? These people are pathetic. Don't enforce border control, don't enforce visas and don't make it expensive for business to hire illegals is the normal solution to the billions the taxpayers are paying for this problem in the states.

I know, business as usual no matter what we say or for whom we vote for. Tell me again there's a nickles difference between the parties!

Robert Reich (What Immigration Reform Could Mean for American Workers, and Why the AFL-CIO Is Embracing It)

Their agreement on is very preliminary and hasn’t yet even been blessed by the so-called Gang of Eight Senators working on immigration reform, but the mere fact that AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka and Chamber of Commerce President Thomas J. Donohue agreed on anything is remarkable.   The question is whether it’s a good deal for American workers. It is, and I’ll explain why in a moment. Under the agreement (arrived at last weekend) a limited number of temporary visas would be issued to foreign workers in low-skilled occupations, who could thereafter petition to become American citizens. The agreement is an important step toward a comprehensive immigration reform package to be introduced in the Senate later this month. Disagreement over allowing in low-skilled workers helped derail immigration reform in 2007. The unions don’t want foreign workers to take jobs away from Americans or depress American wages, while business groups obviously want the lowest-priced workers they can get their hands on.

Sitting here in California always gets me thinking....

Can't wait to leave. However, I really wonder about the Republican big shots pushing amnesty thinking the Mexicans will become born again conservative voters. Must be why the Democrats are all for it, right?

Yes, there is no real difference between the parties except rhetoric to get your vote!

EDITORIAL: The immigration trap - Washington Times

The Republican National Committee’s postelection “autopsy” report issued Monday suggests that comprehensive immigration reform could improve the party’s sagging fortunes with Hispanic voters. Readers of the conclusions of the “Growth and Opportunity Project” are looking for reasons why Republican presidential candidates lost the past two elections. The pathologists observe that George W. Bush, who championed comprehensive immigration reform, “got 44 percent of the Hispanic vote [in 2004], a modern-day record for a Republican presidential candidate.” Some exit polling from 2004 suggests that figure may be overstated, but the Democratic nominee nevertheless won a solid majority. Over the past four decades, the Democratic nominee has never won less than 56 percent of the Hispanic vote. Even the 2008 nominee, John McCain, the most prominent Republican immigration-reform advocate, won only 31 percent, just 4 percentage points more than Mitt Romney, who took a much tougher line on immigration, garnered last year. There’s no clear connection between the party platform on immigration and the election results.

Now he's on everybody's hit list......

Boner's on a roll./ Let's see what this little bit of honesty in Washington gets him. The crisis is political not economic but don't tell the brainwashed voters who believe that even Jesus can't save us from the big bad deficit!

Boehner: No US debt crisis right now, but it's on the horizon | Fox News

House Speaker John Boehner broke from some Republicans on Sunday when he agreed with President Obama and other Democrats who say the country does not have an immediate debt crisis. “We do not have an immediate debt crisis,” the Ohio Republican said on ABC’s “This Week.” However, Boehner said such a crisis is on the horizon and disagreed with Obama about the need to fix the problem now. “We have one looming because we have entitlement programs that are not sustainable in their current form. They’re going to go bankrupt,” he said. “I would argue that we do need to do something.”

We really have to read the mainstream media with a grain of salt....

First, there have not been any balanced budgets in our lifetime. The government just runs deficits off the books.....these expenditures are referred to as "off budget outlays". Second, our Social Security trust funds have been used to cover up deficits making the Clinton years look good. And third, the boom under Clinton was the results of REGANOMICS!

And fourth, budget deficits are accounting gimmicks to rally or scare the shit out of uninformed voters who believe that government spending disappears down a rat hole and we will go bankrupt paying it back......

Now, keeping the government small has been a grand goal because the government now owns us and the gang who owns the government controls the global empire our forefathers created to make us the wealthiest people in history. And they will kill or imprison you to keep it that way.

I have no problem with you and I controlling the empire through honest government but we ain't there, are we? The rot is at the very top. Proven every election that very few, if any, candidate can get elected unless he joins the gang in Washington and takes their money and do what he is told.

Most of the time these people are threatening our old age insurance so they can bomb the Hell out little brown people around the world. Even though the brown people have nothing but their bodies to fight back with. So, the net result? We wont rob the old geezers if you just leave our military budget alone (Ever not wonder where all the deficit spending comes from?)

Ron Paul had a point that if we would quit fucking with these unimportant countries most of our international problems would go away. Remember, we bribe them instead with sex, drugs and rock n roll and make them like us, Americans.

But, who wants to Americanize these people when we can simply scare the shit out of ninnies and little old ladies here in the states to vote and give money to the gang that owns us to keep killing them.

These people , like the Japanese and now Chinese, would make good little consumers if given a chance. But the war machine must continue because all those billions are spent and create jobs and votes.

By the way, I am all for empire. I believe everybody on the planet should be able to eat, sleep, fuck and shit without being bombed let alone imprisoned for opening their mouths. One thing I've learned that most people would prefer to be bought!!

Let's start with offering anyone who can read and write English citizenship. Then we can tax them for Social Security and Medicare and leave the sick and dying alone.

Do you see why I can no longer support the Republicans or Democrats. They thrive on bribes, fear mongering and asinine economic theories!!

Balanced Budget Fight Is Philosophical and Fiscal - NYTimes.com

The handful of balanced budgets achieved in the past four decades have tended to be the result of a strong economy. The surpluses of the late 1990s, for instance, came about in no small part because of unexpectedly strong economic growth and a bubble in the stock market, as well as tax increases and spending cuts during the Clinton administration. Now, how and whether to get back to a balanced budget seems to be a new fight between Democrats and Republicans. “It will generate a debate over the appropriate goal of long-term fiscal policy,” wrote William A. Galston of the Brookings Institution in an analysis of Mr. Ryan’s budget plan. “Is it to eliminate the deficit and the debt, to ensure that the debt does not rise as a share of G.D.P., or something in between?”

McCain is a symptom of the rot in Washington....

Soon he'll be replaced by a Mexican Democrat because of his stand on amnesty and other bizaar things. Graham has been a closet Democrat since day one. No one pays much attention to them except the liberals in the press. I'll not write of them again because.....I TOLD YOU SO....

» Patton: McCain and Graham, Irrelevant or Dangerous? » Commentary -- GOPUSA

Amash has put his finger on the pulse of the problem. John McCain and Lindsay Graham have been in Washington far too long. When a Republican United States Senator prefers to attack Rand Paul and Ted Cruz for defending liberty rather than Barack Obama and Eric Holder for trying to destroy it, that senator has become irrelevant at best or dangerous at worst.

Feds Spend $1.5 million to Study Obese Lesbians | FOX News & Commentary: Todd Starnes

It is now well-established that women of minority sexual orientation are disproportionately affected by the obesity epidemic, with nearly three-quarters of adult lesbians overweight or obese, compared to half of heterosexual women,” according to a description of the grant. The taxpayer money was awarded to Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston to study the relationship between sexual orientation and obesity. The project is overseen by S. Bryn Austin. The grant was awarded through the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development. The hospital received a 2011 grant worth $778,622 and a 2012 grant worth $778,622. According to the NIH grant, the project’s end date is in 2016. NIH Spokesman Robert Bock told Fox News future grant payments could be impacted by sequestration. “It is not possible to say how this or any other NIH grant will be affected in the long term beyond the 90 percent funding levels already in place,” he said in a written statement. “Obesity is one of the most critical public health issues affecting the U.S. today,” the grant states. “Racial and socioeconomic disparities in obesity are receiving increasing attention; however, one area of disparities that is only beginning to be recognized is the striking interplay of gender and sexual orientation.” The hospital noted that heterosexual males have nearly double the risk of obesity compared to gay males. “Our study has high potential for public health impact not only for sexual minorities but also for heterosexuals,” the grant states.

These cuts are unnecessary....

With an official unemployment rate of over 8 per cent destroying jobs is nuts. Cutting benefits to anyone leads to new faces in Washington who haven't a clue of what to do.. Of course, the old faces don't either. We need to quit panicking over accounting gimmicks and concentrate on our government quit growing us into a dictatorship or revolution.

The only way to do that is quit creating new entitlements and programs not slash our economy into depression levels and then we find an Emperor to make it all better. I'm an Empire kind of guy as i believe everyone on the plane deserves to be an American citizen if they want and we have no business killing them when we can just bribe them.

Just imagine a thousand nuts blowing themselves up in our shopping malls or court houses. The only way right now is to spy on everybody and arrest anyone that fits the profile.

Even writting a blog could get you arrested!

By the way, my solution would work with Mexicans too. Just fine them for their crime of illegal entry and after an appropriate waiting period, swear them in and start collecting taxes.

Read the followin piece on line and you'll find that I've answered his question about saving Social Security....TAX THE SHIT OUT OF THEM!!!

Why Sequester May Be Exactly the Right Policy for the Economy

To put it differently, no matter what budget reforms we enact, we have a long-term care problem — not a long-term deficit problem. Even if we dramatically cut down on the long-term deficit by slashing entitlement spending, so that any care in excess of that has to be funded privately, we'll still face the same challenge. That challenge cannot really be solved through budgets. No matter how much we tax now, no matter how much we save now, in the future the economy will be limited to what it is able to produce. The challenge is to set that limit as high as possible, so there is as much as possible for the young and the old to divide it among themselves according to market processes. The point is that we're going to work, one way or another, to keep an elderly population in decent conditions. Whether we do this by making sure Social Security is self-funding through benefit cuts or tax hikes, or by creating structures that encourage people to have more children who can care for them, or by some other means, is secondary at best.

All we have to do to eliminate budget deficits.....

get rid of the old, the sick and the military...problem solved. Then we hire politicians with half a brain and restart the programs for the old, the sick and the military. Once we eliminate the deficit we can start over again because you can't run a modern economy with out deficits. It takes a year to gather the taxes to pay for today's expenditures.

So, you borrow or print until then....THIS IS CALLED DEFICIT SPENDING.

Oh yeah, didn't I ever tell you it ain't gonna happen!!

Too many politicians and media types. in order to get the government from smothering us, invented deficits will bankrupt us and our children. Sounds great except not one single politician will survive such a dumb move. Taking checks from people who depend on them is a nonstarter.

Talk about political suicide!!

Ben Bernanke, Hippie - NYTimes.com

He then argued that given the state of the economy, we’re currently spending too little, not too much: “A substantial portion of the recent progress in lowering the deficit has been concentrated in near-term budget changes, which, taken together, could create a significant headwind for the economic recovery.” Finally, he suggested that austerity in a depressed economy may well be self-defeating even in purely fiscal terms: “Besides having adverse effects on jobs and incomes, a slower recovery would lead to less actual deficit reduction in the short run for any given set of fiscal actions.” So the deficit is not a clear and present danger, spending cuts in a depressed economy are a terrible idea and premature austerity doesn’t make sense even in budgetary terms. Regular readers may find these propositions familiar, since they’re pretty much what I and other progressive economists have been saying all along. But we’re irresponsible hippies. Is Ben Bernanke? (Well, he has a beard.)

Why give this clown an audience? Like everybody else on CNN he'll be history soon enough without promoting his career!

» Snotty CNN Host Berates Second Amendment Supporter » Fresh Ink -- GOPUSA

For more than a week, All Around Pizza in Virginia Beach has grabbed national attention as gun-toting patrons have taken advantage of a discount offered to customers who carry a firearm or have a concealed handgun permit. On Tuesday night, Piers Morgan of CNN told the restaurant owner that he hopes the promotion "fails spectacularly." It's the only national interview that Jay Laze has granted. He said it took all of his nerve to go on CNN, but he chose the show because he wanted to promote the Second Amendment to Morgan's audience, just as he has to his customers.

These people are nuts......

As long as we have new mouths to feed we have to grow the economy. What are they trying to say?

Growth is the Enemy of Humankind | NationofChange

Politicians, lobbyists and corporate media talking heads, and far too many ordinary people, have accepted and are promoting as gospel the circular notion that it’s important to encourage business to grow so that people will be hired and the economy can grow. This specious argument is used to justify the weakening labor unions, the raising of taxes on workers while they are cut for companies and the rich, the cutting of earned benefit programs like Social Security and Medicare, the gutting worker safety and environmental safety regulations, and the elimination of regulation of activities like banking, corporate mergers and takeovers, pharmaceutical companies etc. In fact every government action that results in making life harder or more dangerous for ordinary working people or for the poor is defended on the basis that it is necessary so that business can make more profit and help the economy to grow. Growing the economy, however, is not, or certainly should not, be the reason we have government, the reason we are a country, or the reason we are a society.

yes, hurry......

Then in short order it will be over like the last time time this was done and like last time the world will not come to an end!

Before Default, Let Republicans Bump Up Hard Against the Debt Ceiling | NationofChange

A prolonged confrontation over the nation's debt ceiling — unlike the "fiscal cliff," which provoked many scary headlines — could truly be grave for both America and the world. While press coverage often mentions the possibility of lowered credit ratings for the U.S. Treasury (again), that might only be the mildest consequence if Republicans in Congress actually refuse to authorize borrowing and avoid default. Last time the nation prepared to face such an impasse, during the spring and summer of 2011, the chairman of the Treasury Borrowing Advisory Committee — a JPMorgan Chase official named Matthew Zames — laid out a disturbing scenario in a letter to Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner, in which he foresaw a rolling catastrophe that could inflict hundreds of billions in additional borrowing costs; spark a run on money funds, leading to a renewed financial crisis; severely disrupt financial markets and borrowing, killing fragile economic growth; and push the economy back into recession due to higher interest rates and tightened credit.

Think he did any good killing cops......

Black Rambo.....what a movie. Of course, that's all that will happen. No one care if he was telling the truth or not. He is a traitor to his profession and must be exterminated before he gets on TV.

He might get a few.

Time to wonder if California will ever recover and stop being a police state? I doubt it. Just don't let them get a hold of you if you think you are an American with constitutional rights.

Like Obama declaring an American a terrorist, murdering him and being defended by media drones whom will some day be next.

I remember radio guys, Chuck Harder and Bill O'reilly being harrased by Clinton admin. Sure did shut them up......Bill's been very careful on his show to toe the line and harder no longer has a show.

Now, Piers Morgan keeps running his mouth against guns and as long as Obama is behind it he's safe....But paybacks are a bitch. He'll have to renew his visa under a Republican someday, LOL.

I know most of you who personally know me are in disbelief to hear from media reports that I am suspected of committing such horrendous murders and have taken drastic and shocking actions in the last couple of days. You are saying to yourself that this is completely out of character of the man you knew who always wore a smile wherever he was seen. I know I will be vilified by the LAPD and the media. Unfortunately, this is a necessary evil that I do not enjoy but must partake and complete for substantial change to occur within the LAPD and reclaim my name. The department has not changed since the Rampart and Rodney King days. It has gotten worse. The consent decree should never have been lifted. The only thing that has evolved from the consent decree is those officers involved in the Rampart scandal and Rodney King incidents have since promoted to supervisor, commanders, and command staff, and executive positions. The question is, what would you do to clear your name? Name; A word or set of words by which a person, animal, place, or thing is known, addressed, or referred to. Name Synonyms; reputation, title, appellation, denomination, repute. A name is more than just a noun, verb, or adjective. Sales taxes are a winner......

Yes, I'm going to beat this horse again. Income taxes kill jobs, incentives, and our notion of fairness. The worse idea in history because eventually the politically connected end up not paying........ DUH!!!!

Then the average guy looks around for a way  out of paying so he ends up voting for socialism and not reporting his income. Ultimately we end up not filing a form and the government becomes a gang of enforcers to keep the good times rolling in the capital.

Probably the most egreges is the class of parasites that grow from this tax system. Lobbyist, tax lawyers, real estate groups, tax payer rights organisations, media gadflys, beuracrats,  etc. all making reform or enforcement impossible.

Sales taxes just work. Just go shopping at Walmart in  a sales tax state and you'll see. Buy it and leave. Your paying a bit of everyone's taxes involved in the making, shipping and selling on the sale and then you pay the sales taxes to fund the local government.

Not a whole lot of parasites needed to fund the government involved here. Oh yes, this is the reason it's not going to happen nationally.

Too much bribe money opposing it!!

TAUBE: Jindal-style tough love could be shot in the arm for GOP - Washington Times

For example, voters will listen to intelligent ideas that can lower personal income taxes and increase annual take-home pay. Support for smaller government is a must. A free-market economy with greater private-sector influence, trade liberalization and increased business and job opportunities will appeal to the American entrepreneurial spirit. Taming the deficit and controlling the debt will win brownie points. More individual rights and freedoms play to the historic — and accurate — position that Americans continue to value life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Mr. Jindal is starting to do just that in Louisiana. Last month, the governor proposed eliminating income and corporate state taxes, and increasing sales tax to make up for the shortfall. As he told the Times-Picayune, “For too long, Louisiana’s workers and small businesses have suffered from having a state tax structure that is too complex and that holds back economic prosperity. It’s time to change that so people can keep more of their own money and foster an environment where businesses want to invest and create good-paying jobs.”

What a waste of bytes......

My answer to a Washington Times article:

To balance the budget you would have to eliminate the defense department, Social Security, Medicare, most government agencies and then you would only come close. I imagine even the most ardent tea party voter would chase his Congress men out of town.  Which makes this about as useful a political strategy as returning us to a gold standard. So whining about RINOs being too stupid to commit political suicide so you would feel better about economics is a non starter.....Election time no one will listen to you.

Again, the problem lies in the fact that the Federal government under a fiat system doesn't have to "balance it's check book " because it has unlimited money. As for bringing budgets into balance you quit creating new programs and give everyone a job until everybody no longer needs these so called budget busting programs and these deficits go the way of the Russians are coming.

And yes, I told anyone who would listen 30 years ago that sending all those blue collar jobs over seas would come back to bite us in the ass because you end up creating a humungous dependant class because too many of these people could barely make it through the ninth grade and.....

I TOLD YOU SO!!!

But I forget, it's those mean old Democrats  who are to blame for that and now it's those damn RINOs who refuse to commit political suicide.......

MILLER: The balanced budget dream - Washington Times

Under a law that just took effect, Barack Obama will be the first president required to send Congress a budget that balances at some point in the future. Since that point isn’t likely to be in anyone’s lifetime, Republicans once again are looking to a constitutional amendment to impose restraint. A firm limit is needed as our debt exceeds $16.5 trillion and will grow as Mr. Obama adamantly refuses to turn away from his tax-and-spend ways. All 45 Senate Republicans joined together in introducing a balanced budget amendment on the day after the president’s State of the Union address. “While the tendency in Washington is to eternally kick the can down the road, most Americans understand we’re at the end of that road,” Sen. John Cornyn, Texas Republican, the lead sponsor of the bill, told The Washington Times. “Now is the moment for the president and Democrats in Congress to join us and force Washington to follow the lead of working families and small businesses and balance its checkbook.”

I have the right to an Ar-15 because I am an American.....

It's legally defined as an "arm" and as such the government can not take it away without due process in a court of law.

Tough titty lefty.....

You would think these guys would be trying to do something important with their time but no they have to scare the fuck out of so we will give them money and votes. Both parties went broke trying to elect liberals as president and we got one. Now they need to get some more money to screw us over even more.

Make sure you participate, MORON!!!!

LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Citizens must protect themselves - Washington Times

On a recent show, British TV host Piers Morgan pressed radio host Dana Loesch on why anyone would need an AR-15 rifle. I would like Mr. Morgan to answer a question for me: Why did the London police abandon whole sections of their city to be burned and looted? The fact is they set up a perimeter to protect the empowered, the well-to-do and their own safety. The London police left thousands of citizens to fend for themselves. Given British gun laws, the best the police had were baseball bats to protect themselves and their property. If Mr. Morgan really wants an answer to why people need AR-15s, he can ask the shopkeepers in Los Angeles, who were abandoned in identical fashion by the L.A. police during the riots in the 1990s. The police are under no legal obligation to protect you personally. Legally speaking, they can stand across the street and do nothing while your home is burned to the ground. Unfortunately, both here and in Britain, they sometimes choose to do exactly that.

What's with the left wing nuts lately?....

Bet you didn't even realise the vast majority of these nut cases shooting up the place were die hard oba mama voters? LOL.

Well, made to Tampa to see Patti. She's in no pain down here but she's very frail and becoming more helpless. Time will tell what I have to do but hospitalisation isn't that far away. Have to talk to her doctor and find the alternatives and figure how to pay for it. I believe the government picks up most of it but will find out.

Why the California Manhunt Should Embarrass the Gun Control Crowd - USConcealedCarry.com

But what the press avoided reporting were Mr. Dorner’s political and social views, despite the fact that in his own published manifesto, Mr. Dorner clearly stated his radical left-wing political beliefs. He went so far as to give a laundry list of liberal celebrities and news people whom he admired (Charlie Sheen being the most ludicrous). Now, we all know that the talking heads in the media would have been shouting from the rooftops if a mad killer had ever listened to Rush Limbaugh, or once visited a Tea Party website. But they seem utterly uninterested in Mr. Dorner’s radical leftist views, or how they might have motivated his killing spree. Not surprisingly, they adamantly continue to deny any bias in their reporting.

couldn't agree more.....

A government as ours can print, borrow tax or steal any monies it needs. And it doesn't have to worry about this until the economy booms. Then we get inflationar y bubbles and humungous busts. Ask old George Bush!!!

f | Today

Well if those interest rates DO RISE, there is NO IMMEDIATE effect on interest paid by the debtor country because rates of interest on bonds are fixed when bonds are first issued. However, as bonds mature, then clearly the question arises as to whether to roll them over and pay the new higher rate of interest, or simply print money and repay the relevant creditors. Now there might seem to be a problem with the latter “print” option, namely that it could be inflationary. Well you have to wonder what planet anyone who thinks that has been living on for the last three years. During that time we’ve printed money like there’s no tomorrow and bought back debt and in the guise of quantitative easing. And where is the hyperinflation? However, its perfectly possible (in particular, absent a recession) that money printing could be inflationary. But that’s no problem: that inflationary effect can be countered with a very simple DEFLATIOINARY measure, namely raising taxes (and/or cutting public spending). And assuming the latter inflationary and deflationary effects cancel out, there is no effect on anything: no effect on demand, numbers employed and so on. See what I mean? This is all a total non-problem!! Well very nearly: there is actually one very minor problem which has to do with the amount of debt held by foreigners.

Eventually the economy will sky rocket.....

Then you raise taxes and interest rates.....Not during crashes. Bush did the opposite and destroyed the banking industry and then had to invent tarp to save the gang on Wall Street who owns our government . These criminals and ignoamus' wouldn't send you a dime but bailed out their friends with YOUR money..

Think about it next time you think voting makes a difference!

Kick That Can - NYTimes.com

But that’s a secondary issue. The key point is this: While it’s true that we will eventually need some combination of revenue increases and spending cuts to rein in the growth of U.S. government debt, now is very much not the time to act. Given the state we’re in, it would be irresponsible and destructive not to kick that can down the road. Start with a basic point: Slashing government spending destroys jobs and causes the economy to shrink.

“Bravo” to Marco Rubio and GOP for Embracing Spanish | Fox News Latino

On Tuesday evening, it was announced Senator Marco Rubio would provide the GOP’s response to President Obama’s State of the Union address next week. No surprise, there — Rubio is the GOP’s rising star. What sent the Web into a tailspin of commentary: Rubio will present his remarks in both English and Spanish. While the majority of Americans cheer and praise the unique, historic move, criticisms nonetheless abound — from both sides of the political aisle. Comments on Twitter range from: “the GOP’s token Hispanic” and “it’s shameless pandering” to “this prevents Latinos’ assimilation” and (shockingly) “Rubio has divided loyalties.”

Republicans bark up wrong tree....

Deficits are reduced when we have jobs and credit to pay more in taxes.....Every dollar of government goes to us and goes back to the government in taxes....

Want to reduce deficits? Hire somebody off the unemployment and welfare rolls. Then send everybody a refun check or a loan forgiveness on student loans and something the Republicans forgot and got themselves into this mess....quit enlarging the government with new programs when you get back in charge.

Do I seriously believe this will happen? The Mexicans will declare California a free country first....(About time..)

Robert Reich (The Economic Challenge Ahead: More Jobs and Growth, Not Deficit Reduction)

Under these circumstances, increasing taxes on the middle class (as, for example, Republican legislators and governors are eagerly doing by raising sales taxes, and as the federal government did last month by raising Social Security taxes) makes it even harder for consumers to spend. Which means slower growth and fewer jobs.  Likewise, cuts in government spending, such as occurred in the fourth quarter of 2012, cause the economy to contract — as it did in the fourth quarter.  In other words, we’re still having the wrong discussion. It shouldn’t be how to cut the budget deficit. It should be how to bring back good jobs and economic growth.  Deficit hawks and government-haters are still framing the debate. That bodes ill for all of us.

Isn't it funny....

That in cities controlled by the Dems they can't get their voters through to vote? Or is it they can't fill the ballot boxes with fake voters......

Robert Reich (The Real Debate Over American Citizenship)

Long waiting lines depressed voter turnout last November, especially in cities where Democrats outnumber Republicans. One study showed blacks and Hispanics on average had to wait nearly twice as long to vote as whites. Some gave up trying.  Voter registration is part of that issue, along with what sorts of proof of citizenship states may require. Dozens of legal challenges and lower-court decisions were made in the months leading up to the November election. Some are heading to appellate courts.  Congressional Democrats are pushing legislation to require states to ease voting requirements — allowing more early voting, online voting, and quicker means of registering. Meanwhile, the Supreme Court is preparing to hear a major challenge to the Voting Rights Act of 1965 potentially giving states more leeway to tighten voting standards.

My retirement jumped over 600 bucks this quarter ....

The boom will happen if the clowns in Washington would just leave the economy alone....Sounds like we have a good start because credit is being showered on me right now....And I'm borrowing!!

Major changes from oil revolution - Washington Times

For Americans who came of age in an era marked by worries about scarce world oil supplies, dominant international oil cartels and unrest in the Middle East, the times are changing — quickly. Technologies bred in America are unlocking reserves of oil that for decades were considered out of reach. With oil production from shale rock, oil sands and deep-sea drilling booming in the U.S., Canada, Brazil and elsewhere, worries about Middle East-based oil cartels and vulnerable Persian Gulf supply lines are close to becoming things of the past. “Until recently, the U.S. was importing a significant chunk of its oil from the Middle East,” in particular, Saudi Arabia and Iraq, said Fatih Birol, chief economist at the International Energy Agency. “But we expect the U.S. will not need Middle East oil sometime soon. This has implications for international oil markets and beyond that.” Yet even as America’s energy resurgence enables the nation to dabble with the prospect of energy independence for the first time in a half-century and cast off a long-standing preoccupation with the oil cartel OPEC, China and other emerging titans are stepping to the fore with fast-rising energy demands that increasingly put them at the behest of OPEC’s producers. The combination is shaking up long-held assumptions about how U.S. political leaders should deal with the world’s most indispensable commodity.

Yes, make more cuts and raise taxes morons....

Good thing these guys are in charge, right? Cut the budget and raise taxes sounds so good to the nitwits who vote for these clowns and then they end up broke and on the street scratching their asses wondering "why doesn't the government do something about it?" Guess what assholes this is doing something about it....Want more?

What part of all government spending and borrowing goes into our pockets and gets sent back to the government through our taxes don't these people understand? You seriously want to end government deficits?

Quit taking the checks and whining for the government to do something about everything and GIVE EVERYBODY A JOB!!!

Oh yes, and make sure the illegals pay their fucking taxes!!

In the meantime, I'm loading up on credit and everything I need for my RV retirement. Glock pistol, metal detector, new business, Honda generator, new Iphone, and everything else I'm going to need before these fools wreck the economy.

And yes, I predicted a boom starting now and I was right. Housing ...boom, manufacturing...boom, and this spring, construction....boom. But if we kill a few hundred billion in government spending before we finish the DEPRESSION we are in all bets are off.

AND I TOLD YOU SO!!!

By the way, what's really behind gun grabbing do you think....Maybe to be able to back away from BUDGET CUTS to the working voting public and scrape up campaign contributions because these assholes spent several hundred billion dollars running two liberals for President....

P.S. did I ever tell you there isn't a nickels difference between these two parties except rhetoric? What more proof do you need? Does this sound credible?  Who do you hate? Who are you afraid of?   And so, vote for us and we will make them pay! (Fill in the blank for "them")

Other than that, stay tuned for the next"crisis" so these guys keep power over us....Works everytime it's tried. Just turn on the TV..

Republicans rip White House over finger pointing in wake of dismal GDP report | Fox News

Republicans accused the White House of having selective amnesia Wednesday after President Obama's top spokesman blamed Republicans for an unexpectedly dismal GDP report that showed the economy contracting in the fourth quarter. The White House had suggested GOP willingness to let sweeping defense cuts take effect was the culprit -- but an aide to House Speaker John Boehner quickly reminded Democrats that Republicans have tried to stop those cuts. "These arbitrary, automatic cuts were a creation and demand of the White House in 2011," Boehner spokesman Brendan Buck said. "Twice the House has passed legislation to replace them with common sense cuts and reforms. If there was any uncertainty late last year about the sequester, it was because the Democratic-controlled Senate, per usual, never lifted a finger to pass a plan to replace it." White House Press Secretary Jay Carney and House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi earlier alleged that GOP feet-dragging during talks over the fiscal crisis and willingness to accept automatic defense cuts contributed to the economic squeeze. The Commerce Department report showed the economy shrinking for the first time since 2009.

Here come amnesty.....

Republicans will vote for amnesty and bring more Dem voters. No one said they were truthful about these issues. They just pretend to be a conservative to get your vote. No worse than the Dems pretending to be for gun control in order to generate votes and money.

Ban high capacity magazines?.....

All we have to do is Google "Glock 19" and watch these guys shoot a hundred rounds or more within a couple of minutes using 10 round clips. I can change clips in about 2 seconds and I'm not even trained. I can't for the life of me figure what the libs think they are doing alienated half the voters out there who own 2 or 3 hundred million guns.

Other than blowing smoke up their voters  "progressive" asses for votes and money of course. Oh, didn't I tell you this is corruption and vote pandering from a class of people who don't do anything useful, necessary, or valid in their petty little lives.

Oh yes, I also said withing 6 months or so we would be in a boom. Oba mama will get credit for it even though he didn't do much other than pay off and not prosecute the gang that got us into this DEPRESSION. Expect boom and bust, progressively worse as the years go by.

I'm loading up on credit cards so i can retire and have a comfortable life because it wont last long before we will be in the shit again. Probably 2 or 3 years before the gansters squeeze the politicians for more bailouts. Remember credit cards are unsecured so if you "can't make the payments" not much the banks can do but quit giving you credit for a couple of years.

And don't forget, there is no votes or money for campaigns advocating touching Defense spending so the geezers are the target. The media gets us off track with this gun grabbing bullshit that is settled law by Supreme Court ruling. If you have a gun stashed away(you don't?. Are you nuts?) learn to reload it even if it's cheaper to buy the ammo ant Walmart right now.

For instance this example: How about a 5$ tax on a bullits for "assault weapons" or the Feds drop by your house to search for concealed weapons etc.

It's happened with with booze and Pot which have periodically been legal or considered poitical poison depending on the money .

In the meantime, if you have a SS check or government pension, they want it or they will use the possibility to take it to get you to go along with any scheme these guys dream up.

P.s, I only say this because of our past history. Just ask the survivors of Ruby Ridge or Waco!

Brazil Lets Inmates Take Holiday Vacation... Surprisingly Some Don't Return | Fox News Latino

Brazil’s holiday season gift to its inmates turned into a bag of coal for jail administrators after thousands of prisoners granted a temporary leave to visit their families for Christmas and New Years failed to return to their cells.  Over 2,400 Brazilian inmates, or 5 percent of total inmates released, still remain at large after the government  gave them leave during the holidays. What's surprising: Some 45,000 inmates sent free in December are willingly back behind bars, according to a survey taken by Brazilian newspaper O Globo

Getting restless as I near retirement .....

Who knew that not working for a steady check would be so close. Still have to get a few things taken care of before I pull the plug by now can't wait.

Have a lot I want to do before I'm too old and working ain't one of them. Though going back into business would be fun as I now have a few bucks stashed away and a nice line of credit.

I never wanted to quit selling around the country in the first place but the economy did me in and we needed to get a fresh start.

Good thing we did because of health issues and rebuilding my credit. Now I have choices when I get to Florida this spring .

Keep you guys posted .

NationofChange Gifts | NationofChange Donation Gifts

In Living with Guns, Craig R. Whitney, former foreign correspondent and editor at the New York Times, seeks out answers. He re-examines why the right to bear arms was enshrined in the Bill of Rights, and how it came to be misunderstood. He looks to colonial times, surveying the degree to which guns were a part of everyday life. Finally, blending history and reportage, Whitney explores how twentieth-century turmoil and culture war led to today’s climate of activism, partisanship, and stalemate, in a nation that contains an estimated 300 million guns––and probably at least 60 million gun owners. In the end, Whitney proposes a new way forward through our gun rights stalemate, showing how we can live with guns––and why, with so many of them around, we have no other choice.

Miss Montana Alexis Wineman to become first autistic Miss America contestant | Fox News

Miss Montana Alexis Wineman will make history on Saturday night when she takes the stage at the 2013 Miss America Competition, becoming the first autistic contestants to ever participate in the pageant. Wineman, 18, will also be this year’s youngest contestant competing in the beauty pageant. She told Fox she was diagnosed at the age of 11.   “For the longest time I just really wanted to know what was wrong with me,” she said. “When I was finally diagnosed I felt like it came too late.”

Businessman in fraud case ties Harry Reid to scheme | Fox News

A Utah businessman accused of running a fraudulent $350 million software scheme says the state attorney general arranged a deal to pay Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid to make a federal investigation into the software business disappear. St. George businessman Jeremy Johnson, who's accused of billing hundreds of thousands of consumers for products they never ordered, told The Salt Lake Tribune that newly elected Utah Attorney General John Swallow set up a deal in 2010 for Johnson to pay $600,000 to people connected to Reid. Johnson says be believed that Reid, a Nevada senator,

Biden meets with NRA, faces pushback on Hill over 'executive order' gun control claim | Fox News

Vice President Biden was preparing to meet Thursday with the National Rifle Association to hear their side of the gun-control debate, but was already facing stiff criticism after claiming the White House could use "executive orders" to address new restrictions.  Republican lawmakers ripped Biden, who plans to have his recommendations to the president by Tuesday, after the suggestion that the administration might go around Congress to implement some, yet unnamed, provisions.

House leaders pledge to vote on Sandy aid bill amid bipartisan complaints over delay | Fox News

Rep. Peter King, R-N.Y., who earlier in the day lambasted party leaders for the move, reported after a closed-door meeting with the speaker that they were told the House would vote Friday on a $9 billion flood insurance measure, followed by a vote on a $51 billion aid bill Jan. 15.  "As far as I'm concerned, I think I can speak for all of the members of the New York and New Jersey delegations, it was an extremely positive meeting," King said.  Boehner and House Republican Leader Eric Cantor affirmed the plan in a written statement, saying: "Getting critical aid to the victims of Hurricane Sandy should be the first priority in the new Congress, and that was reaffirmed today with members of the New York and New Jersey delegations."  While the decision still punts a vote until the next session, which starts Thursday, the meeting appeared to calm tensions in the party. King was among the most vocal in his complaints, earlier calling the decision to put off a vote a "disgrace" and "immoral."

Boehner returns as speaker by three votes - Washington Times

House Speaker John A. Boehner narrowly survived his re-election battle on Thursday as the 113th Congress convened at the Capitol amid calls for cooperation on the same issues that left lawmakers gridlocked over the past two years. In the Senate, the two top leaders have at least for the time being averted a potentially disastrous fight over filibuster rules, and the inspiring return of Sen. Mark Kirk, Illinois Republican, from a yearlong recovery from a stroke left the upper chamber awash in optimism. In the House, Republicans and Democrats issued a call to focus on civility, even as they try to tackle big issues. “If you have come here to see your name in lights or to pass off political victory as accomplishment, you have come to the wrong place. The door is right behind you,” Mr. Boehner said after winning the speaker’s gavel for the second time. “If you have come here humbled by the opportunity to serve, if you have come here to be the determined voice of the people, if you have come here to carry the standard of leadership demanded not just by our constituents but by the times, then you have come to the right place.”

U.S. intel budget topped $75 billion in 2012 - Washington Times

The U.S. spent $75.4 billion on its military and civilian spy agencies in the last fiscal year, officials announced Tuesday. The U.S. intelligence budget is divided between the Military Intelligence Program, which the Pentagon said was $21.5 billion for fiscal 2012, and the National Intelligence Program, which was $53.9 billion, according to Director of National IntelligenceJames R. Clapper. The National Intelligence Program (NIP) funds the CIA and other civilian agencies and provides some funding for the major military agencies such as the National Security Agency and Defense Intelligence Agency. “The NIP supports national decision-makers, so, to the extent that the NSA and other agencies in the Department of Defense provide intelligence to the president or other civilian leaders, they are funded from the NIP,” said Steven Aftergood of the Federation of American Scientists, who advocates for more transparency in U.S. intelligence funding. Mr. Aftergood said the fiscal 2012 NIP budget was $

Senate votes to avoid 'fiscal cliff' - Washington Times

Congress careened over the edge of the fiscal cliff at midnight, but a solution was in the offing after the Senate voted early Tuesday to approve a deal that combined tax-rate hikes and new stimulus spending, along with a two-month delay of automatic spending cuts. Democrats and Republicans linked arms and powered the bill through the Senate on an overwhelming 89-8 vote, sending the measure over to the House, where a final showdown looms, and where it could have a more difficult path. Sen. Mitch McConnell said it was the best bill that could be written. “The president wanted tax increases, but thanks to this imperfect agreement, 99 percent of my constituents won’t be hit by those hikes,” the Kentucky Republican said just ahead of the vote, which didn’t end until after 2 a.m. Tuesday morning. An early estimate of the tax provisions found the bill amounted to a nearly $4 trillion tax cut when calculated over the next decade — all of which will be added onto the deficit.

Keep cutting the budget......

You think it will ever dawn on them that firing government employees and cutting everybody's checks is not a good thing?

Are we next? I doubt it. At the last minute we will be saved by our fearless leaders as they kiss each others asses and slap each other on the back for being fiscally responsible as they shovel billions to the gang who owns us.

I guess it's only me but you ever wonder where all that government money we get goes? I sure don't to keep much. I know Walmart gets a bunch so I expect that only the largest corporations who give millions to political campaigns end up with most of the money.

Kind of like building secret multi billion dollar weapons to protect us from box cutter sneak attacks, right?

No Deal: Boehner Fiscal Cliff Proposal is an Insult | NationofChange

“Speaker Boehner doesn’t get it. Demanding cuts in Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid as a price for long overdue fairer taxes on the richest Americans isn’t an offer; it is an insult,” Borosage said. “Using the debt ceiling to hold the country hostage to exact otherwise unacceptable cuts in education and other vital domestic programs is disreputable policy and politics. Offering to hold off a year before taking the next hostage does not remove the threat. Clearly the president and Democrats have two words to say to the speaker: No deal.”

57 maggots removed from nursing home resident's ear | Fox News

A 92-year-old with Alzheimer’s was found with 57 maggots crawling in her ear while she was under the care of a nursing home costing around $10,000 a month. The family of Catherine McCann are now suing the home for negligence and emotional distress. Her 88-year-old husband John McCann spent his live savings paying for her to be looked after by the Lutheran Home for the Aged in Arlington Heights, Chicago. "I was horrified, shocked. thought it was terrible," he said. "I’m paying all this money for that kind of care - no way.  After giving them $270,000 of my hard earned money - my life savings I gave to them - and not even so much as a note or a call." Medics treating her believe a fly crawled into the ear and laid eggs, which hatched into nearly 60 maggots

Patti's doing better....

Now that she can eat. You can e-mail her at patticauser@gmail.com. I'm freezing my ass off and am ready to have my head examined for toughing out my last winter here when I could be somewhere the temperature drops never drops below 50 (maybe 60.)

I can get my SS in June and plan on retiring from Walmart. To do so, I need to get my business going again so I need to pay off as much of my credit cards as I can because the one thing that screwed me 6 years ago was not having the resources to change product, venue and do repairs on  the truck.

Still, I like sunglasses but there is a lot of competition and you really need a sharp looking store with 150 styles or so. Also, you need to be able to travel around with out worrying about the house back home. One thing I have working for me is that I can afford the $180 rent on the mobile and still do business if I don't sell it.

For the first time in about 20 years i have a couple of bucks and $10000 in credit . I also know the business as it's all location, product and service and I've done it for years. Also, I have a brand new trailer to live in and don't have to return to a particular location if I don't want to. Spelled FREEDOM!

I just wont have my baby with me to sell because I hate customers!!!!!

I did all the planning, money management, most of setting up and tear down and she did the hard part...selling fussy people into parting with a couple of bucks. And she was really good at it!!!!!

But time will tell. I would like to take my brother Jake  and his wife with me but they don't have a RV and with their 3 dogs and mine it ain't going to happen in 35 foot travel trailer even though it would be fun and we would all make money because I have the means to do it right.

We'll see what the spring brings because I would like to do either Spring Break or Bike Week in Daytona and visit my sweet heart and probably tell Walmart ADIOS AMIGOS!!!

I'm trying to be patient because I have a history of being highly impulsive as I don't really know what fear is except dying on at a J-O-B. And that ain't my thing.......

PRAGMATIC CAPITALISM – Corelogic: Home Prices are up 6.3% YoY in October

The housing recovery that started earlier in 2012 continues to gain momentum,” said Mark Fleming, chief economist for CoreLogic. “The recovery is geographically broad-based with almost all markets experiencing some appreciation. Sand and energy states continue to experience the most robust appreciation and some judicial foreclosure states are even recording increasing prices.” “We are seeing an ongoing strengthening of the residential housing market,” said Anand Nallathambi, president and CEO of CoreLogic. “Reduced inventories and improving buyer demand are contributing to stability and growth in home prices which is essential to the long term health of the housing market and the broader economy.”

My main theses is that the Republicans are becoming irrelevant....

Scaremongering so the fat cats keep their millions, not advocating that the government prosecute the gangsters on Wall Street and in the banking industry, making sure that you and I pay for these guys mistakes, trying to "structurally reform" our insurance programs by cutting the benefits worked 40 years for, sending millions of jobs overseas , scaring the shit out of immigrants, imprisoning American citizens without trial, etc etc.

And they think we vote because somebody on the radio or TV whines about their taxes being cut?

Are they retarded?

Once in a while he gets it right....

We can print, borrow, tax or just steal all the money we need. Anyways, even the great tight wing economist, Milton Freeman  has said that deficits don't matter except it helps keep the politicians from going nuts and buying every voter.

Nice try, right. Nothing stops the fear mongering. What happens to the "fiscal cliff" bullshit a few months from now? Squat!!!

Fighting Fiscal Phantoms - NYTimes.com

For we have our own currency — and almost all of our debt, both private and public, is denominated in dollars. So our government, unlike the Greek government, literally can’t run out of money. After all, it can print the stuff. So there’s almost no risk that America will default on its debt — I’d say no risk at all if it weren’t for the possibility that Republicans would once again try to hold the nation hostage over the debt ceiling. But if the U.S. government prints money to pay its bills, won’t that lead to inflation? No, not if the economy is still depressed. Now, it’s true that investors might start to expect higher inflation some years down the road. They might also push down the value of the dollar. Both of these things, however, would actually help rather than hurt the U.S. economy right now: expected inflation would discourage corporations and families from sitting on cash, while a weaker dollar would make our exports more competitive.

We made it to Tracy's yesterday....

5050 miles... by the way, I fly out for Idaho Thursday morning.

In the meantime, it seems every body in the media wants the Tea Party to "evolve" and leave the serious politics to the experts in Washington because balancing the budget means raising some poor bastards taxes and cutting their hard earned benefits.

We must not forget that are money is only ours until these fuckers want it!

Click and read this below and check out my comment under Gary Causer:

TAUBE: Tea Party must accept partial blame for Romney defeat - Washington Times

The Tea Party’s future could be very bright. Supporters probably will continue to exert some influence at the grass-roots level but won’t be as strong as before. They still can play a role in determining how the GOP should move forward, either by reforming the party, choosing a real conservative or a Beltway candidate for 2016, and leading discussions of fiscal versus social conservatism. The Tea Party even could act as the tugboat pushing the good ship GOP to calmer — and better — political waters. This will happen only if the Tea Party, much like the GOP, is willing to evolve with the times. Michael

More "fiscal cliff" nonsense....

Interest rates are set by the Fed not investors. Why would Bernanke tell us that interest rates are to be held as is until 2015? What's incredible is these guys can get paid to say this baloney!

In the meantime Patti and I are leaving for Florida probably tonight or very early in the morning.

LEE: After fiscal cliff comes fiscal avalanche - Washington Times

If U.S. creditors decide that our debt is no longer the safest form of investment available, demand for Treasurys will drop, interest rates will rise and the cost of servicing our debt will begin to explode. Paying interest on our national debt will quickly crowd out spending on almost all other federal priorities. At that point, any deficit reduction undertaken by Washington — including the sorts of spending cuts or tax increases being discussed today — will be too little, too late. The Congressional Budget Office projects that under the most likely policy scenario, in 30 years, net interest payments on the debt could total $3.8 trillion in today’s dollars. That is more than total government spending for 2011. In reality, we are unlikely to maintain the same level of borrowing and spending for the next three decades without a significant change in interest rates for our debt. Even a modest 1 percentage point increase next year, for example, in effect would wipe out all the deficit reduction included in last year’s Budget Control Act. In other words, we would have to shoulder the burden of fiscal restraint without any actual deficit reduction — all pain and no gain. It could get much worse.

Tea party vows to stay for long haul, takes no blame for GOP losses - Washington Times

Conservative columnist Michael Barone said the tea party “brings some talented people into politics — think of Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson for example — but it also brings some wackos and weirdos and witches, and we put too many of them on the ticket.” Mr. Rove weighed in by saying the “offensive comments about rape by GOP Senate candidates in Missouri and Indiana gave the media an excuse to put social issues at the election’s center in a way that badly hurt the entire party, as well as costing Republicans two Senate seats.” Tea partyers said establishment candidates also fared poorly in the elections, pointing to the losses of George Allen in Virginia, Connie Mack in Florida, Tommy G. Thompson in Wisconsin and Scott P. Brown in Massachusetts. “More establishment candidates lost compared to tea party losers,” Ms. Carender said. Whatever the case, Mr. Phillips said the primary job of the tea party in the coming weeks is to make sure that House Republicans do not surrender during negotiations to avert the “fiscal cliff.” “The problems w

What's with the Liberals going all gooey for Lincoln?......

Oh yeah, he freed their voters!

An Inconvenient Truth About Lincoln (That You Won’t Hear from Hollywood) « naked capitalism

Liberals are fond of referring to Lincoln's concern about corporate power, summed up in a letter he is often claimed to have written to Col. William F. Elkins in November 1864: "I see in the near future a crisis approaching that unnerves me and causes me to tremble for the safety of my country….corporations have been enthroned and an era of corruption in high places will follow, and the money power of the country will endeavor to prolong its reign by working upon the prejudices of the people until all wealth is aggregated in a few hands and the Republic is destroyed." Lincoln’s observation is prescient. But here’s the inconvenient truth: Some of the most powerful corporations of his time were wildly enriched by having a friend in one Abraham Lincoln. This friendship goes back to Lincoln’s early days as a scrappy young lawyer. After being admitted to the bar in 1837, he hopped around and finally landed in Springfield, Illinois in the law practice of William H. Herndon in 1844. Like any young lawyer, he had to hustle to handle enough cases to live comfortably. And, like most young lawyers, he went where the money was. And the money was in the burgeoning railroad industry. In 1851, Lincoln tried hi

The Deficit Crisis Mongers Go Off the Deep End | NationofChange

This sort of warning, coming from people who have a near-perfect track record in being wrong on everything they say about the economy, would ordinarily be laughable. Unfortunately, these warnings come from people who have prominent positions in national policy debates. Therefore it is likely that such warnings will be taken seriously. The deficit hawks want to promote a sense of crisis because it is essential to advancing their agenda. If the January 1 deadline passes, the political ground shifts to those who just want to see an end to the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy. After January 1, the Bush tax cuts will have expired. This means that when President Obama pushes his campaign pledge to keep in place the Bush tax cuts for 98 percent of households, he will be asking Congress to lower taxes for 98 percent of the people, not to raise them for 2 percent. It would be difficult even for a Republican Congress to refuse this tax cut. The deficit hawks desperately want to avoi

Man these people are stupid....

Better practice "do you want fries with that?" You have a job and if you don't like it find another. Don't let the union scum screw you over because they will use people to get more workers in the union so they can screw thme out of their hard earned money in dues.

Walmart offers the average high school grad or drop out a way to get a middle class income. You start at 8 or 9 bucks an hour, unless you are a cashier or former manager of some kind and you have unlimited career choices. Most assistant managers come from department manager training and any one is eligible for that position. Assistant manager knock down somewhere around forty thousand a year.

A store manager can, with bonus', hit 100 thousand or so. My assistants and their supervisors started out 10 years ago as truck unloaders and cashiers. They all are pretty much satisfied with their career choices because they work at it instead of whining.

Patti left Walmart making over 11 bucks an hour as a people greeter the lowest paying job in Walmart and I with shift differential and Sunday bonus am close to 15.

Oh yeah,  full time positions are scarce and have to be earned and when you do you qualify for full store bonus every three months and full coverage insurance.

You just have to deserve it! Imagine that instead of sitting around bitching about how tough you have it and how evil Walmart is by being mean to union thugs and their asshole poltician buddies!

Help Change the Economy - Join Walmart Workers Striking on Black Friday | NationofChange

This morning, at 10 AM local time, Dallas Walmart store workers are headed back to the picket line. Theirs is the latest in a string of strikes that hit a California warehouse Wednesday and Seattle stores on Thursday. There’s more where that came from: On a Thursday call with reporters, union-backed Walmart worker groups said to expect a thousand strikes or demonstrations spread over nine days, culminating in an unprecedented array of “Black Friday” disruptions. That news follows a major legal settlement by a Walmart contractor that organizers credited to a 2011 sit-in at Hershey’s Chocolate. Dallas striker Colby Harris emphasized that despite issues with low pay and repeated retaliation, he’s committed to remaining a Walmart worker. “If you leave this job, you’re going to face retaliation in some form somewhere else…” he said last night. “If you change Walmart, and you change corporate America, it can really better a lot of people’s lives.”

Here's my post on the Washington Times newspaper...........

KNIGHT: Casting blame at conservatives for Romney's defeat - Washington Times

Two years ago the Republicans slaughtered the Democrats with the same voters they got this time minus the independents and conservatives who didn't vote for a liberal Republican who was seen as out of touch with me and you.

The very same people who foisted Romney off on us are now pointing fingers to divert your attention from their mistake. They went on TV and proclaimed Romney the chosen one and there was nothing we, the base voters, could do about it.

Do you really believe that the voters didn't know that Obama had any policies other than tax and spend? Then what were the Republicans going to do about it? What was Romney's plan for the next four years and why was it such a secret? What cuts to our insurance plans, Social Security and Medicare, did he expect us to allow when we are broke and his class, the very people that profited off of this economic collapse, was to be allowed to keep every dime.

There's more but the Republicans made it too easy for the Democrats to play the class and race warfare card let alone the fairness of the greedy v.s the working stiff.

So, let's not listen to the losers who created this disaster and remember that when a Washington outsider runs as a conservative he wins every time as president and when two liberals run in an election the liberal always wins!!!!

Another reason to stay Independent.....

For the party that slaughtered the Dems in 2010 and lost a couple seats in 2012 because they chose a lefty for president resulting in millions of Independents to not vote and then keep this guy Bonior in charge  is a symptom of brain dead theology the Republicans are living. He is Exactly what's wrong in Washington. Every one sucks up to the left as KOOM BA YA time making sure they get and keep a fat cat job and the people who have bought them their offices steal our Social Security INSURANCE.

Read that again... we paid for these INSURANCE programs, SS, Medicare, Umemployment, etc. and they want to give the money to the gang who have ruined the working stiff on WAll Street!!

Yeaah, let's vote for them to fix the mess they created for us.

Boner's one of the architecs of the dismantling of the Reagan coalition by enlarging the Federal government to pay for their sending our middle class jobs to Mexico and China and then compromising behind closed doors with the ding bats in the Democrat party to cut our benefits that we paid for out of our paychecks! And  now these genius' threaten to dismantle the rest of the economy by stealing our money because of a fairy tale called "fiscal cliff" they created last year. (They could easily pass a new law removing the "fiscal cliff" but no one would be able to grandstand on how terrible the opposition is then, or keep up the scare mongering of we have to cut Social Security to save it. QUIT STEALING THE FUCKING MONEY, ASSHOLES!!! )

These INSURANCE programs have nothing to do with budget deficits as we pay for them out of our paycheckswith separate earmarked TAXES, and this is not a leftwing right wing conflict because if there is a problem with them it's these clowns in Washington stealing the money and giving it to their paymasters!

What would you say if you died and the government cut your old ladies insurance payment to pay for the deficit or if you wrecked your car and the Feds confiscated some of your pay off and stuck you with bill to balance their budget?

What the Hell's the difference?

Is this rocket science?

The Republicans only lose when they lie and don't do what they said they would do. QUIT CREATING GOVERNMENT PROGRAMS and playing footsie with the COMMIES overseas and in Washington and these problems will slowly go away.

Worried about deficits? Hire somebody, tax them, and deficts are no longer created. WE need jobs so create or hire a few people and deficits disappear because that's what taxes do and quit whining about raising Limbaugh's or Hannity's taxes for God's sake.

Ask the Reaganites like me who can remember voting for real changes in Washington and we created a booming economy that lasted until Clinton surrendered to the fiscal radicals and tried to balance the budget by shutting off CURRENT expenditures and throwing working stiffs under the bus.

Even Reagan raised taxes and run up the biggest deficits since WWII and we created over 20 million jobs and unemployment was under 6% for over 20 years. (Bush snuck a few hundred billion deficits too, right?)

Speaking of, doesn't anyone remember the recession Bush inherited? Think that came from increasing government spending or from cutting? Do you really think taking money out of your and my pocket plus millions more of us is good for the economy?

All government spending goes into our pockets and is spent into the economy creating and maintaining millions of jobs and shutting off the money puts us out of work so the taxes disappear creating deficits that scare the BeJesus out Washington. So, quit creating new dependancies or raise taxes and the growing economy does away with deficts. (Then we would probably have to create a few so the Dems would be able to buy a few elections, LOL)

Jesus even a Wallmart cashier can figure this out so why are we paying these people?

Let's not forget for a moment that you and I didn't send all those blue collar jobs overseas screwing up the tax collections and cut taxes on the rich during a boom causing a speculative bubble creating the basis for the real estate crash did we?

Oh yeah, see any cuts for these fuckers?

So why do we get the cuts in our INSURANCE programs that we worked for 40 years or so for? We elected the bastards and now we have to pay!!!

P.S I don't think this guy, BONER, could run a shit house!

P.S P.S Patti and I had a great day in Monument Valley and will post pictures on Face book later, we are now in Las Vegas at my sister-in-law maggies.

Boehner survives 'challenge' to speakership - Washington Times

While House Speaker John A. Boehner's leadership post was never in doubt, that didn't stop one House Republican from trying Wednesday. As House Republicans gathered behind closed doors at the Capitol to pick their leaders for the upcoming new Congress, outspoken Texas Rep. Louie Gohmert symbolically nominated former House Speaker Newt Gingrich for speaker, said a senior House GOP aide who was at the meeting. The nomination didn't receive a second, and Mr. Boehner's nomination eventually was approved by a voice vote. The full House formally will vote for its speaker when the 113th Congress convenes in early January. But with Republicans controlling the chamber, Mr. Boehner's election is assured.

Patti and I are living it up in beautiful Parker Arizona....

They have a Walmart and Dennys what more can you ask for?

Here's an IDEA how about the Republicans practice what they preach and quit sucking up to the liberals, hmm?

Inside the Beltway: Staying conservative - Washington Times

Though the mainstream media and certain elected officials are advising the Republican Party to gut itself and re-emerge as a spiffy, contemporary, compliant, agreeable and infinitely more charming new political entity, the majority of Republican voters essentially reject that idea. They’re at home with the Grand Old Party as it is. “Republicans continue to want the GOP to move in a more conservative direction: 60 percent say Republican leaders should move in a more conservative direction while just 31 percent want to see them move in a more moderate direction. Democrats, however, want their party to move in a more moderate — rather than a more liberal — direction by a 55 percent to 35 percent margin,” reports a Pew Research Center survey of about 2,000 voters conducted shortly after the presidential election.

Would have been a little closer to Monument Valley bygoing to Salt Lake but the Wasatch could get a lot of snow so i can't complain.

In regards to my previous post ....

The Republicans and Democrats have created this fiscal mess by giving everyone a check and then threatening to take them away, bombing brown people, (WE ARE BECOMING A NATION OF BROWN PEOPLE!!!), paying people to go to school, not to work, paying corporations not to farm, making it nearly impossible for the average guy to start a business, playing games with the tax code so no one knows what the Hell's going to happen next year, and so on.

And we working stiffs spend most of our time watching gas prices bounce all over the place and wonder if we'll have a job next week. Jesus no wonder we can't stand this government!

Why not steal every penny the rich have and get it over with?....

Yeah, right.

These people have too much time on their hands and nothing between their ears. The fiscal cliff is a political  problem not economic. Promising to balance budgets after giving everybody a check has got the Dems and Republicans in a corner. How do you rob someone you just promised the money to. (GET IT?)

Can't raise taxes, can't cut the defense budget, can't steal my mothers SS check, can't rob my dying wife's Medicare, can't keep robbing school teachers, cops, fireman and every government pension (where do these state governments get matching funds from, hmm!)

Can't steal more from highways and bridges. Can't take welfare, food stamps, unemployment, housing subsidies, can't rob all those foreign governments we own and we have to keep every broke dick's cell phone so what's can we cut? ZIP!! SO:

Gridlock, baby!!!

So, what will they do? Same as last time and the time before that. Plan on slowing the growth 10 years in the future so they can win reelection because the God Damn Republicans won't raise taxes and the God damn Democrats won't cut handouts, right? (Most of these guys are awaren that we can print, borrow, tax or just steal all the money we ever need. Who's going to stop us?)

Now they worry about it.

We allowed the government to own us and now we pay. Not that budget deficits are an economic problem (Proof? We've always had huge budget deficits, right Reaganites? Anyone ever hear of WWII? It used to be we have a Commie under every bed and they wanted us dead because ......!! Now it's fiscal cliffs) but we are creating and perpetuating the right-left civil war because that the path to a cushy job in Washington..

As a concerned citizen I've watched America sell it's soul to liars and con artists and like most can't stomach the gang in Washington any longer. So I predict that it ain't going to get any better for either side of the argument as both sides are paid and rewarded to ignore the other and keep the battle going.

Solutions? Kill each other off, separate into two different countries or take the honey pot away.

Killing each other  off sounds good right after a losing election but doesn't address the problem of keeping our empire strong enough to fight off the assholes who want us dead, so, separating into two different countries is not going to happen because the people who own the empire wont even consider it and so that leaves the owners favorite tool: the income tax.

The income tax with special favors for special groups has to go. Nothing gives us more vitriol, favoritism, bribary, corruption and fear than the police state we have created with it.

But dream on.

A sales tax means budget deficits disappear because it's so easy to adjust the sales tax rate and "soak the rich" and pay for these guys protection (from us, since they own the various governments, they have to worry about being murdered or having their shit stolen by us.)

Then, why vote for these clowns to fight over or protect our paychecks?

Anyways, prepare for "fiscal cliff" terrorism nonsense out of Washington as they play us like a fiddle again because we are all going to move to China if we don't balance the budget by stealing someone's check or assets because the greedy old people wont give up their ill gotten Social Security and dying people will not surrender one penny of their Medicare.

And let's not forget, the greedy rich won't let us steal their shit so we can have free cell phones, Damn it! (You think I'm kidding? Well which part?)

Now read Santelli and remember his rant on CNBC founded the Tea party. Scared these poor bastards silly over imaginary government deficits. (Hey, I know of people who believe killing non believers in  Allah will get you into heaven so, yes, people will believe just about anything if important people they respect tell them it's true often enough!)

P.S, the last comment on the election the Republican establishment lost. Quit running left wing liars. Give us a Reagan, Bush, Hell even Nixon! (I consider myself the average voter. We don't trust, let alone like,  any of you fuckers!!!)

f | ZeroHedge

With the varied interests of constituents very much in mind, finding a compromise over taxation will be worse than Sisyphean in nature we suspect. CNBC's Rick Santelli offers a strawman, that gets around Norquist's 'pledge' and perhaps provides cover for both parties. The Chicagoan recognizes that what seems like a high-salary to some is very much not to others and suggests instead of focusing on the income, we should focus on the wealth. This is not the first time such a proposition was suggested (as we noted 14 months ago that 'muddle-through' was over and "we are confident, that one way or another, sooner or later, it will be implemented. Namely a one-time wealth tax: in other words, instead of stealth inflation, the government will be forced to proceed with over transfer of wealth") Strawman or not, the fact that Santelli is discussing it (and demurs on whether he has been contacted) means it is on the table...

Bad for Republicans.......

They don't have any muscle now. They blew the elections by nominating a left wing Republican trying to compete with Obama for handouts. They should have beat him badly. Another thing being more like Dems will cost even more jobs in Congress because excluding defense, raising taxes on the rich and not lowering taxes they are screwed.

The Republicans jumped on the balance the budget movement and are about to become a whig party as everyone wants something for nothing or we don't want any fat cats in  Washington taking our ss INSURANCE or Medicare INSURANCE away from us because we paid for it and they have been robbing it for decades.

The other place to steal the money from is our military benefits that members of  my family gave 20 years to earn. And let's not forget all the teachers, firemen, cops etc. who put their asses on the line for a pension and the people who own our government are trying to eviserate these programs.

Makes you wonder what the working stiff ever did to deserve these people in charge. And no, Oba mama is also part of the gang and gets no slack from me.

Trust nothing these people say as they reach for your money!

P.S the fiscal cliff is a political problem do to scare mongering and propaganda as all we have to do is pass a sales tax and get rid of the income tax and most of these problems disappear.

Just don't hold your breath!!!

Fiscal cliff forecast: Bad now, worse later - Washington Times

“Even if all of the fiscal tightening was eliminated, the economy would remain below its potential and the unemployment rate would remain higher than usual for some time,” the CBO said. However, the nonpartisan agency went on to say that canceling the looming tax increases and spending cuts due in January would deepen deficits and leave the country less able to handle a major crisis in the future. “If the fiscal tightening was removed, and the policies that are currently in effect were kept in place indefinitely, a continued surge in federal debt during the rest of this decade and beyond would raise the risk of a fiscal crisis … and would eventually reduce the nation’s output and income below what would occur,” the agency analysts said. Enlarge Photo The reports were released as both sides gingerly begin to talk about a way forward on budget matters after this week’s elections.

Told you so.......

The Republicans are worse at picking candidates than the Dems. Talk about losers! At least, as I have been saying, liberalism won.

This is the plan.....

Screwing us out of our money.

P.s Obama wins.

Bill Black: Wall Street Urges Obama to Commit the Great Betrayal « naked capitalism

Wall Street salivates at the prospect of any privatization of social security. This would lead to them being able to charge tens of billions of dollars in fees annually and the banks that administered the privatized program would be systemically dangerous institutions (SDIs) because the consequences of allowing bank failures to cause tens of millions of Americans to lose their retirement savings would require either that all such deposits be federally insured or that the failing banks be bailed out by the federal government. Privatization, therefore, is a convenient fiction. The banks’ profits will be private; any catastrophic losses will be borne by the public. The SDIs’ already massive political power, often exerted through front groups like Third Way,” will burgeon. This article is the first of a two piece series. It shows how Third Way lobbies for Wall Street and is used to discredit Democratic polices. The other piece discusses some of the key flaws in Third Way’s studies. The Wall Street response (via Third Way) to our warning of the Great Betrayal repeats its central assertion that there is no alternative – the safety net must be cut. The Wall Street Wing of the Democratic Party alleges that if Obama wields the knife he will do less damage to the safety net than would Romney. That, of course, does not respond to our point. Once Obama endorses Wall Street’s false claim that the safety net is unsustainable and a grave danger to our economy he legitimizes future Republican assaults on the safety net. Third Way admits that these assaults would wield a chainsaw. Indeed, if Wall Street (via Third Way) is correct that the safety net is destroying our nation’s ability to make productive investments then Republicans should take a chainsaw to the safety net. Third Way, therefore, has implicitly admitted and even supported our analysis.

The rot will not end by any foreseeable election.....

Why even follow the results Tuesday? Oba mama has Wall Street money because he hired and covered their crooked asses.

Bet on Wall Street!

Oba mama should win the electoral college vote no matter what. The only surprise I have is that Romney, a Mormon is doing so well in the south. I'll blame it on Ryan, a deficit hawk, who would shut down the economy just to score political points. (NO budget cuts are ever mentioned because no cuts are coming. Even the idiots in Congress are afraid of the geezers. Remember Catastrophic health care? Google it.)

Or is it because he's a fanatic and believes the nonsense spewed out about budget deficits bankrupting us? (we should live so long!!)

f | Decline of the Empire

This is just not an America that any of us should want to live in. It is a country whose economic basis is oligarchy, whose political system is authoritarianism, and whose political culture is murderous toward the rest of the world and suicidal in our aggressive lack of attention to climate change. Many will claim that Obama was stymied by a Republican Congress. But the primary policy framework Obama put in place — the bailouts — took place during the transition and the immediate months after the election, when Obama had enormous leverage over the Bush administration and then a dominant Democratic Party in Congress. In fact, during the transition itself, Bush’s Treasury Secretary Hank Paulson offered a deal to Barney Frank, to force banks to write down mortgages and stem foreclosures if Barney would speed up the release of TARP money. Paulson demanded, as a condition of the deal, that Obama sign off on it. Barney said fine, but to his surprise, the incoming president vetoed the deal. Yup, you heard that right...........

Moved back into the mobile.....

I'm moving Patti to Florida the 14th of Nov. for good. I still plan on selling out and joing her as soon as possible. I get a Social Security check in June and can work part time with Walmart if I have to but would perfer starting another business.

We'll see. At least we won't be broke like the last time I moved out of state. And I have a roof over my head which will make a big difference.

Keep you posted.
